hi, is anyone here either a white or black hacker?
does anyone test antivirus etc for a job.
just curious thats all.

no, i am genuinely just curious as to whether anyone classes themselves as a hacker, just to see what people respond with.
as the next post explains, hackers are not usually bad, its just the bad ones that are all in the media.

I would put myself in the catagory of a White Hat Black Hat Hacker. What I do isn't always ethical, and is often in grey areas. However, whatever I do is for me alone. I don't hire my services out to people, and I don't teach people how to do what I can do. I do also think that what you need to realise is that the term hacker has been distorted horribly by the media. I don't trash sites, I don't delete things from people, and I don't mess with things. My projects are my Everest. I do them because they are there to be conquered. You wouldn't climb Everest in a 4x4 because it would damage the mountain, and I take the same approach. I am an old school hacker, I do it to explore and broaden my technical horizons. Real hackers do this. Script Kiddies are the ones who do the damage, spread viruses and deface sites. And at the same time, have no technical understanding of how they did what they did.

oh sorry, i didnt mean to spark an argument i was merely asking,seen as though i dont spend all day on a pc im not that bothered about the technicalities thank you.
i would prefer it if you didnt try to impose the idea that i am stupid.
you may know a lot about computers etc, but not everything in life is about computers and coding etc, just remember that...
