Where has the Summer gone!?

I think this summer went fast, its already the Labor Day weekend, and I always thought that once that past, here comes the cold weather, and summer's over. I know I can't believe that the kids are already back in school, around here last winter we had bad ice storms, and all the schools had to use their snow days and then some, so this year, they all had to start school early to make up for those days they lost.

This summer went by extremely fast. I don't even know what I did this summer. I mean how is school already starting? I though I was going to have enough time to do some stuff that I wanted to do but I didn't do any of them. It's like crazy that school is already going to start. And you know what I don't really feel like the summer vacation is really ending. My siblings start school on Tuesday. I start school on the 3rd but I go on the 9th because I have classes on Tuesdays. It'll probably hit me that the vacation is over when I am sitting in my first class.

I know I wish it would never go away

The highest the heat got here was 107 and thats hot enough for me. Yes the summer went by really fast for me to. I do wish the summer months would last longer cause I dont like the winter with all the snow and ice. The summer vacations for the kids here is also over with, schools started last week.

Very, very fast. It seems like it had just started a few days ago! I didn't miss the heat, either...bleh. Or the freezing cold nights. (My Goddess Ohio's weather was like a desert this year, and freaky as per usual) And now we're going onto autumn, my favorite season but also a season which means things are gonna get even busier now. Whoo. I think 2008 has gone by pretty fast, period, actually.

I can not believe that Summer is over here and the kids are back in school. This is the first Summer that I can remember that we didn't have time to really enjoy it. I always have many picnics in my yard, almost every weekend and this year I only had one and that was in June for my brother-in-law's birthday. My husband and I and his siblings have been so busy cleaning and preparing his father's house to put up for sale, that we used all our weekends up. We didn't go to any summer carnivals or drive-in movies or even to the beach this year. The work is almost done so maybe we will be able to enjoy the Fall. Let's hope that doesn't go too fast, I amnot looking forward to Winter!

I don't know where it has gone and of course the Weather has not been brilliant here again the earlier Nights are coming back in to As we where saying on the Phone it is not far of Christmas

The summer went fairly quickly for me. I worked lots and we traveled for our vacation so it seemed to just fly by. It was nice and cool where I live for most of the summer, only about two weeks of "air conditioner weather".

We had a hectic summer, spent the last couple of months going to phsyiotherapy, we just had a weekend for a real vacation going from Winnipeg to Saskatoon. Most of the time was in the city. The only special events was at my son and daughter-in-law's housewarming and combination Katie's birthday party, then their anniversary and the announcement of my younger son's engagement. Usually the summer is slow, but this time it really rushed by. Now it is getting to be fall and I have to think about buying fall clothes.

i dont know if it fast or slow coz in germany there was or there is no proper summer.you get sick of the weather here on and off imean today very hot and tomorrow cold

Hi Lakota12, We haven't had much of summer this year, it has been raining all the time and now autumn is upon us and all the kids has gone back to school and the pumpkins will be out in the shop soon, Christmas!!!!! Tamara

School really has gone by fast. We got out in May and went back in August. I felt like I missed the whole summer. But I was sorta glad to be back at school to see my friends. It gets boring at home.

I agree, this summer has come and gone so fast! I work at a music school, so I don't have to teach in the summer...I have a summer job as well to keep the income coming though...It seems like I've done next to nothing all summer, and now it's over! I go back to teaching on Tuesday, and I'm happy and dissapointed at the same time...Happy because I start making some good money again, but now I'm totally busy for the next 10 months! -Mike

Oh Summer went way, way too fast. I feel really bad for my son who is entering his junior year of highschool. These days they have summer school and it was a complete day--from 7:30 to 1:45. Okay, give or take an hour. In any case he did not get out until August and then went back to school on August 25th. We did our best to make it fun for him. Thank God his sister was willing to take him to Disneyland and bowling alleys etc. All for free. Anyway, we had no time for a real vacation but maybe around Thanksgiving we'll make it up to ourselves. How are you, Lakota? Hi Lakota.. The summer seemed to take forever to get here and now it is almost gone..I had my two grandsons everyday and we had a super good time...but now they are back in school...I get them everyday after school so there is still much fun to be had... The summer did go fast..but we were busy with our adventures....hugs

my summer went by really really fast!! Maybe it was because I had martial arts a lot, had fun spending time with my family and having a break from school. I live in Canada and this summer was " the rainiest summer ", in our history of rainy summers. So most of the time when it was raining i stayed in and played video games, which really killed a lot of my time.

Boy it sure does sound hot in your neck of the woods. It has been hot and humid here in Alabama too. The summer does not feel quite over yet but it will be over soon enough. It did seem to fly by pretty fast. I am not really a big fan of the summer time. I am looking forward to the cooler days. I used to live in Pennsylvania. The climate is slightly different where I am at. Sometimes there are tornado warnings which I wasn't used to where I came from. Have a great rest of the summer.
