Where has My Points Gone?

Wow tamara, that's alot of points to lose! Did one of your discussions get deleted? That's the only thing I can think of to lose that many points. I know that I lost some points too, but not that many and I know it was because of some other peoples deleted discussions. I would write to mylot and ask them. They will give you some kind of answer. Don't be upset, there has to be a reason and I don't think you did anything wrong. It might have been someone else posting in one of your discussions that did something to get it deleted. Write to mylot and see what happened.

It happens all the time, so don't worry about it. myLot is continually cleaning house, and will delete discussions here and there that are against the TOS. If you posted a response to one of those discussions, you may lose a point here and there. It is now down to the end of the month and myLot always does a lot more 'cleaning' then, so you will likely lose some points, all of us do. I lost 12 overnight myself. Don't let it bother you, just keep on posting. I lose a point or two several times a week, and always lose a good number at the end of the month.

There could be a couple of reasons why points were removed. Could be one of more of your discussions was deleted by myLot or it could be that you responded to a discussion or several discussions that were deleted by myLot. They never explain why this happens and this has been a gripe of mine. They could send an email to explain the reason behind any deletion. Could be standard form they use with little effort on their part. Don't give it too much thought. Keep pushing forward.

If you start empty discussions, they get deleted, even this one might be deleted. You don't ask things like favorite color, etc. I have had very few discussions deleted because I tell a story and then, maybe, ask a question. Also, reply to people that comment on your good discussions and reply to people that respond to your comments to their discussions. Don't try and post lots of question discussion, don't try and get posts from Wikipeadia, don't post recipies or jokes, unless its as a point in your discussion. Good luck Tamara

I have had about five discussions that has been deleted. Three were about te birth of my nephew. I did not write anything offensive. It seems that most of us have had our luck with mylot censorship

You had 43 discussions deleted in one day. It is no joke. I woiuld feel down too. That's why I have started answere discussions that have been for a while. This saves me from wasting time. Discussions are deleted on a regular basis when they violate the guidelines so its not a big deal that discussions are deleted. Yet having 43 posts deleted is not a joke.

Hi Tamara, That is an awful lots of points to lose overnight, all I can think of is that it is near to the end of the month where myLot make all sorts of adjustmens so it could be that you have 43 comments that have been within discussions that have been deleted throughout the month, I don't know for sure though, but they also will credit account extra cents as you are active from all they don't pay out on these ones so it will all sort and adjust somehow I guess. The most I ever lost points wise overnight was 38 and 33 was from one persons whole discussions being deleted so it does happen unfortunately but may not have been from your burning the midnight oil session last night. i think this is serious my friend, that is a lot of points you lost. i guess by this time, you already figured out what happened and you already sent a message to mylot admin. i also been losing some points lately but good that those were only few. (neildc @ red/89/1744)

I know this is one of the old topics you made, but this thing bugs me today - i get posts deleted daily almost and i know i stopped posting in the sure-to-get-deleted subjects for quite a while know. I have only lost 1 topic until now, probably because somebody posted a referral link in it, but since then i started adding "PLEASE DON'T POST ANY REFERRAL LINK IN MY TOPIC" slogan when i start a new subject in the money interest.

wow. hopefully they will be returned. maybe it just takes a while for mylot to get everything put up in order? i dont know. lately i've seen other changes without warning here also done by mylot.

Hi Tamarafireheart, It's sad to hear you lost so much points.From time to time they bound to be some issue and I think this problem occur quite often.I suggest you to contact myLot on this for an explanation.Anyway, do not let this problem stop you from using myLot to keep posting,responding and make more friends.Have a nice day :)

Hiya Tamara, I can understand why this would upset you hun I have no idea why the points would disappear like that, I'm not a bigger user of mylot I only come on when a friend asks a discussion of interest to me but I've only just come across this discussion I had no email notification telling me you had started this which I'm not happy about because I would of liked to have replied to this when you started it.

it's that time of the month where mylot usually cleans up, deleting discussions before actual payout is calculated. at least that what used to happen I don't know what else could be the reason of your number dropping, it's either your discussion is deleted or discussions you responded to are deleted

I had lost 14 points when I logged on today, it has happened to me before and the most I lost then was 60 and that was a few months ago. Since then I have not lost any so I was really annoyed when I saw I had lost that many today. It does seem to happen around this time of the month though so it must be a clean up of some sort but I get annoyed too when I have put work in, because it does feel like it has been done for nothing.

hi tamarafireheart wow that is just too big a gap, I would complain to mylot as it sounds like an error has been made. I have had a drop last night of some five points which here is not that unusual as some discussions do get deleted in spite of ones being careful to avoid any that seem to break mylot rules. I was stuck on one number for about six responses then my points finally did move up.

I normally don't pay that much attention to my points so I am not sure if any of mine are gone or not.. I will pay more attention now that you have brought it up.. I can't imagine losing that many at one time and I do believe that I would email Mylot and ask them what happened, if you can get an answer from them.. I am losing my star rating, it went from a 10 to a 9 without my even being on Mylot.. I noticed it a couple of days ago and then I realized that I hadn't been working on Mylot for a few days due to not having the time.. But the point went down anyway.. I am not sure what happened to your points but someone may be able to help you figure it out.. Good Luck..

Maby just some of the discussions you've been in have been deleted................... i can say that's a lot of points lost.Maby just some of them were removed or it might be an error in the system.Most sites and links have some kind of bug..least 1 for sure.Bugs only happen if something had triggered them some how.It could of been a bug bug it might of been a misconception.
