Posting and responding which one is better earn?

if you have good post and a lot of friends then there will be more who would respond to your post and you will earn on that which i don't know how much or how big but what i am seeing is that it is slow comparing to just posting. another disadvantage of making discussions is that, there is no guarantee that there will be responses that you could get but that doesn't mean i am discouraging you from making one. somehow it's good also to combine both. on the other hand, posting is not an assurance as well that you could get higher percentage of earnings comparing to making discussions. in the sense that if you're going to make a response make sure that it's not just a single liner or two. make a quality response that it relevant to the topic being discussed and in my experience and as i see it (at least in me), make a response with about 5 lines or more. making such, you might earned from fellow members a "best response" that i believe will increase your reputation here and when they like your post/s, some would give you a positive rating thereby increasing your reputation again. you'll see this reputation once you reach 100 posts, you'll see a star on the left side of your username. i had an experience a few days back that i made about 20-30 quality posts and that i was able to earn more than a dollar, i don't have any downline too. if you have referrals under you and if they are active you could earn more in that way as well.

As well I'm new here in mylot,I think both ways will be the earning way and you can sharing with other mylotters here freely.Lol

I believe that you earn more in two ways. One is to respond to a lot of peoples postings and the second one is to respond to what other people say to the discussions you make. You will earn more money if you start a discussion in which a lot of people are interested in and will respond to. So make sure your discussions are interesting. These tips are what made me two dollars in one day!

There is no one right answer to this question. If you post new discussions, you have to rely on other people to respond in order to increase your earnings. If you respond to discussions, you have to make it worthwhile to read, and not just one/two words answers. The proper answer is to do a good mix of both. to be quite honest with you I am not sure what earns you more myself and I have been on here for a while. I know when I first started I had started a topic and 35 people responded to it and I ended up earning 35 cents for that. Then here lately when I start a topic I dont earn as much for them anymore like I use to. Right know I am finding that I earn a lot for just responding to other peoples topic. I guess it all depends on how good your topics are and how good your responses are. Anyways welcome to mylot and good luck mylotting.

I have yet to figure that out. Sometimes I post and think that it is a good subject, but hardly get any responses. Sometimes I respond and think it is good, but do not get paid as much as I want. I sort of think it also depends on how many friends you have and whether they give good responses. So if it is a two or three word sentence, you do not get paid, but if they go on and on you get paid more. The trouble is that you may not want to have them go on and on since you may have to spend a lot of time commenting on that one person to the expense of the others. And if they are against what you post, then you may sort of regret commenting on theirs. So it takes in all sorts of factors. But I think that if you post and the responses are short and simple it is not as good if you post and the responses are long. So it not only depends on your posts or your responses, but those of your friends.

Dear friend, I do like posting and may be if good topics I like responding too. But very rarely I get a good topic to post and responding is much interesting it could give me a chance to know more about others ideas and their part on that discussion. More than that I do see repeatetion of same topics and some topics get too complicated too. I do know both get earnings. A good topic with more responds is better than a single post without any +++ or BR.

After alot of observation I am almost certain you make more money responding to others but it has to be like five sentence responses and ADDRESS the topic instead of useless one liners that dont. I also think that your ratings climb when you post "comments" to discussions and not just respond because it shows your engaging with other mylotters more. I get into chatty moods where I will post a lot of discussions but I know that they will not earn me as much as responses because first of all, you do not earn money (or maybe tiny amounts) for responding to your own discussions and when I have 5 discussions I posted that takes away from the time I could be responding to other users discussions, make sure you post images to every discussion you can as I think that helps, and you have more chances to post images when you hit 500 posts, then you can post images to your comments too.

I think the secret is quality. If your responses to someone else's discussion is well thought out and descriptive it may very well bring you more than a hasty discussion starter. On the other hand the well thought out discussion starter will bring you more if there is a good response to it. You can't always tell what's going to draw the interest of myLotters and sometimes a discussion starter won't get many responses, so start discussions, respond to discussions, share anything you're passionate about, voice your opinion and enjoy myLot. You'll be surprised to see how your earnings add up after a while. I don't time myself on myLot. I just go through all my main interests and see what other people are talking and comment if I have anything to say. And of course if I have something to start a discussion about, I post that too.

Hello dokaor, I can't really give you a correct answer to your question but I still can try. All I can say is, they are both different factors but with the same purpose. In other words, they are both the same. As for posting: Depends on a lot of stuff, such as what kind of content you post, how popular it becomes(same how number of responses), if it has a picture, tags, etc. As for responding: How long your response is, how positive, if you get rated "+" by others, etc. I hope I could have helped , the only way you can get paid "more" is if you post more and post longer discussions/responses. I don't really see a way you can get paid "faster" because they update every 24 hours but just follow my tips and hopefully, you'll receive more earnings. Hope I could have helped. - Insaneduck9

I don't think any one will know the correct answer to your discussion as Mylot is very secretive about the way you earn money as this forum's main priority is not a money making site but is a site for people to chat about and get to know more people. But to be sure that you earn some thing from it as well I recommend that you write 4-5 sentences per respond and at least one paragraph when asking a question.

I believe that as long as your response and or post is high quality, then you will make more money. If you respond back to everyone that responds to your post, you should make at least a penny for each response.

Responding to the discussions is more important and it will help you getting more money.But important is that whether the post is quality post or not.Quality is important than the quantity.Its not necessary that if you are posting more posts then you will earn more but it will depend on what you are really posting here

I think you have not gone through the Mylot FAQ's coz there dear Mylot people explained clearly. Its all depends on your writing skill/good topic or responce. Its nothing but the Quality in your discussion/reply. You just should not write or reply for the sake of money. dont keep money in your mind then reply and discuss. Everything should have meaning and raise a thought or idea. Try to make people think. Create magic with your words.

I look forward to finding out which earns me the most, as I only posted my first couple of topics tonight after joining last night. So I guess I shall see tomorrow! I have tried to make sure that my posts are good quality and on topic though, so I shouldn't be deducted money for that reason. I was a bit disappointed this morning with my earnings, as I didn't get as much as other people had been getting, but I worked out it was because of the way I was using the site, so I shall just change that and then I will be fine.

Yesterday i earned abotu 52 cents on my first day! im not surprized knowing thats alot or not alot ...im new too and im already getting the hand of it..for me i just write about 50 long respondsa and about 10 new ones i started and i wonder if i end up with about a good result! today is my seconed day on my lot also.XD
