Whats a true friend?!

I think this is different for everyone. I think it's sometimes easier to find out who ISN'T a true friend than who is. A few years ago, I had a couple of really abusive relationships. Most of my "friends" disappeared, so I figured they weren't very good friends. I had a friend though, very similar to what you are describing. She would insist that I stay in bad relationships if things weren't going well for her. I had to leave a boyfriend in the middle of the night and called her, she didn't even offer me a place to stay. A few years later, one of my ex boyfriends tried to rape me, I had no where to go... and she handed the phone to her dad. Still, she didn't even offer me a place to stay for the night (my ex and I were sharing an apartment at the time). She even encouraged me to STAY! Shortly after that incident, I started dating a guy that she didn't want me to date. She said some horrible things, that she still won't take back or apologize for. I guess you have to watch for the little things, and it's best to keep a bit of a distance sometimes if they prove to not be a good friend. Good luck!

Well.. a true friend is someone who stick to you when you have bad times and never leave you whenever you need someone to talk to. I mean, you and your true friends doesn't have to be together all the time, but when you need them, they'd be there.. just that. And they would care if something's happening, they would complain when you hurt yourself and get angry when you harm yourself.... They would scold you for soing something wrong but they won't hesitate to praise you when y ou have done a good work...
