does cats hate shower

Hello vinesh, Nope, cats generally don't like water. Although I did have a kitten once that did like to take baths with me. She was very young when I got her so she thought I was her mommy though. I think, (I don't know this) that cats don't really like water because they keep themselves clean and water on their fur makes them feel dirty? Maybe it washes off some oil or something that they deposit as they are washing themselves? I don't really know why, it's a mystery. Have a happy day, dmpres

Most cats don't like water so if you spray them with a squirt bottle they will take off like a banchie. However my cat loves water and comes into the shower with me. I will leave the door open a bit and she pushes her way in and starts clawing at the door. I let her in and she hops right in with me. She loves playing with the water. We have one of those hoses so I always take that down and she will jump at the stream too. If I am having a bath she will lay on the edge and pat her paw in the water.

hi vinesh, I think your cat is just not used to being wet, I have a cat than we give a bath to and she doesn't mind at all.
