am i doing it right?

whenever she comes home and talks to me and tells me that she is having a bad day and you can tell it by her mood and she is frustrated or something like that, i will usually just sit down with her and tell her to tell me about her day and she will start and i will honestly sit there and listen to her and give her my input on things, and then i will usually start making her laugh and things like that and i will tell her that things are going to be ok, and that i will make sure of it and then just start to love on her a little bit, and thats usually the end of it, but i was just wondering if anyone could tell me anything i am missing or am i doing it all right? thanks for taking the time out of your day to read and review my discussion and i hope that you will answer, i hope that your days been great so far and that your night is even better and have a great weekend, thanks again for reading my discussion!

Hello dear jhl. I think that you are right and a very nice person to always try to make her happy and smile after your sincere talk to her. I wish her to come back home with a good mood later on. Good luck to her and you.

What you did is perfect. You did what you have to do as a good partner. Just to listen to someone can be very hard if you also have a problem at that time.

Sounds to me like you are doing everything right. The only thing that causes me concern is that bit about "making sure of it" unless you are her boss or work with her (in the same place) there really is no way that you can do that. She is a big girl and needs to learn to deal with her own problems. Of course give her all the support that she needs and everything else is spot on.
