What is life for you?

I'm pretty sure that most of people here are aware about destiny or fate, life's choices, God's plan etc. Sometimes, I am hardly thinking what life is really all about. I read some books saying we should live our lives according to God's will because He has a plan for each of us. Then, some people say that life is a matter of choice, it's all up to us whatever way we want to live our life, whether it's good or bad, it's our own choice; we'll face the consequences of every action we make. But then others say that everything happens for a reason; And people, things or situations are set to come about. We have different viewpoints in life.
Are these the reasons why there's no perfect peace on earth?
For you, what is the only proven from these situations I illustrated?

It's true that everyone has their own viewpoints. First off, with the discussion of God's will vs. free choice, I believe they both come into play- in fact, I think they rely on each other. God made us all with free choice. If he hadn't we would all be like those dolls were you push their hand and they say "I love you!". Since we all have free choice, that means we can make our own decisions and also receive the consequences of the desicions, either good or bad. God's will is more like the guiding factor in our lives, or what ^should^ be the guiding factor I should say. God always knows what's best for us and his will is that listen to what he has to say about that so we can make good choices in our lives. Where do you think we get our conscience?

hi there. for me life is simply a gift from god to everybody in this world. and life is basically what we make it. i dont really know if i believe in such thing as destiny, but well, for me, if you really go for what you want, then you get it. meaning to say you dont get things out of luck and destiny.
