What is the latest ebook you have read? How would you compare ebooks to actual books?
I have read two ebooks already, one from John Chow and one from Yaro Starak, both about making money from blogs. I think these ebooks are very informational and really help readers regarding blogs.
There are a lot of other ebooks around and I am afraid they are just a bunch of crap.
Do you think ebooks are as reliable as actual books?

Hi...I have never read an ebook before though I have tried to. It is too tiring for my eyes. I still prefer the old way grab a book, snuggle up and read it. And yes I agree with you that there are plenty of ebooks out there and many are a whole load of nonsense.

I can't remember the last time I read an e-book. I have never bought one, but I have requested some free informational e-books in the past. From what I remember of them, they were only a few pages in length and I found some of them to have information which was out of date or which I already knew.
I think a good e-book can be useful as a short guide, or a "How To..." book, but generally I think I can get more from searching on the internet and finding the information for myself, or by reading a proper book, which will have more than a few pages.

I only read the ebooks of John Chow and Yaro Starak because I think they are reliable enough in terms of making money from their blogs. The ebooks are about 50 or more pages each. I have gained some information but I know I also can search for it in the net. But it's a good compilation of information.
Have a nice day!

I have an ebook of Da Vinci Code...i tried to read it but then i find it hard because unlike an actual book..i can carry it around and then i can lie down while reading...so i stopped reading ebooks..i rather find it boring compared to the actual book..and yes i guess you can say im old fashioned but i really loved the smell of old books..they bring back lots of memories...unlike ebooks you smell nothing...you can't hold it...can't flip it...

Ebook of Da Vinci Code? Wow! I have read the book itself. I have read the ebook of Harry Potter though (then I don't know what ebook is) and it was really hard to read.
I also love books. the only advantage of ebooks is that most of them are free.
Have a nice day!

Hello richiem.
I have never read an ebook. So, I couldn't begin to compare them to other books. I am not sure what you mean by "reliable." I guess I'm hoping that someone with knowledge about whatever the subject is edits and copyedits ebooks to assure their accuracy before they are available for sale. If that process does not occur, then I guess we can't really assume the information they offer is reliable.

You can always try one. There are many free to download and usually come in pdf format (you just need a pdf reader such as Adobe Reader which is also free to download).

Hi Richie!
I like reading on any kind of Media,be it in a bound book,or on computer screen,or on an ebook reading device. The Last Ebook I read/downloaded was a "Firefly" Fanfic Novel called "My own kind of Freedom",which I enjoyed. I also have a Java platform app. on my Samsung phone which is a free ebook reader from www.booksinmyphone.com,they'll give you the (free) reader, and free access to a varied library of books, some classic, some New..I have ALL the Sherlock Holmes stories and Jules Verne's "Journey to the centre of the Earth" in my pocket!I'd recommend it..you can change the font size from a built in menu,so they're easy to read, and change the page from white to black if you prefer less bright pages or reading at night..I've yet to have a problem with an ebook..the technology needs some work yet,though..I'm not such a fan of them that I want to buy one of Amazon's "Kindle" Readers,or Sony's Machine,to read books I can get on my computer for free!

I'm so sorry for coming in so late. However, I must admit that I don't like ebooks. For me reading books has already been an unwinding leisure activity for which you should be comfortably laying down in your bed or some other place and I don't count reading ebooks as a leisure activity.

I already read an e-book and I regret it. I got my left eye graded and i blame it on reading an e-book. Such a waste for me, for time and for electricity. What more is, the e-book i read is not that beautiful and i got bored reading it. it was a total regret. i can't bring back my perfect eyesight again.

I love reading electronic books. I have a lot of collection of e-books in my iphone. I love reading novels, especially love story. But I also read some financial books. The last book I have read is the book of Robert Kiyosaki, which tells the reader on how to save money, invest, and have your own business. It's a really good book. You should try it out.

No, I figure that I spend enough of my day staring at a computer screen. When I read a book (and it's rare these days with a two-year old!) I like to read a proper paper version. I think it just wouldn't be so enjoyable and luxurious to read it from a screen. Reading a paper book somehow seems as if it would inspire my imagination more, and be a lot more relaxing. I just can't imagine losing myself in an e-book in the same way as I do in an old-fashioned version!
