why do female hamsters bite more then male hamsters?

my girlfriend has a female hamster and it always bites! it hurts so much too Help

I think that is their habit too or they must take care of their babies so they must more fierce.

Yes, hamsters are very aggresive when they have babies. But you shouldn't touch them when they are having babies right?

What I know the female hamster will become aggressive when she is pregnant and getting bite.Event the male hamster got injured badly at this time.That is the reason I think.

I'm not sure this is true. Maybe she has a medical problem or something. Sometimes they'll bite if they have mites because it hurts to be held. Do you notice any dandruff on her?

In general, female hamsters are more aggressive than males actually. Males are usually much more calmer and not very active. Females are exactly the reverse, jumpy and excited at everything. Heres a hamster guide : http://www.gomestic.com/Pets/Hamster-Care.183809
