Dear mylotters, you have every now and then come across lots of discussions pertaining to one's bath or shower like how many in a day, how u enjoy, whether cool water or hot water you use, preference time for shower etc., etc. Now this question is a little opposite of what you all already had! Can you share how you feel when you don't take a bathe or shower for a day or two or how do you enjoy it, etc. Little stupid question?

I dont take a bath when I have a high fever or when Im really down and out..There was a time when I got really sick for about 4 days and I couldn't even get up..I felt really dirty and hoped that i didn't smell like a horse , but, I cant do anything about it..I even asked my husband if I smell bad already..I dont know if he was telling the truth or what, but he said I smelt fine ..
I dont enjoy not taking a bath even for just one day, moreso, if it's summertime, because i'd feel sticky and greasy all over...During the time I was sick, my husband sponged bath my body and helped me in the bathroom to wash my privys..

You are lucky to have a lovely and understanding husband. Whether it smells like a horse (does horse smell that nasty?) or not, one is not supposed to take a bath or shower when in high fever. Thanks for responding. Good day!

snakequeen hi oh how dirty and grubby I feel when I dont get to
'shower for several days, I like to go two days as my hair gets
too dry otherwise. this is a great discussion. When I broke my shoulder I was in the hospital for three days and no bath, then moved to a rehab care center and only got a shower twice a week and by then felt horrid, all sticky and my left arm in a sling it was just plain awful. was I ever glad to get home and use our shower again.

Hello Madam! I am extremely happy to know that you are back here with us after few weeks' absence. I happened to read a discussion some days ago wherein your absence was noted with lot of concern by fellow mylotters. I was also concerned about your health condition. Hope you have fully recovered and are doing well now. Take care. May God Bless you!
Thanks for the compliment on my discussion and thanks so much for your response.

Well I take shower depending on the weather, ofcourse I take once everyday in the morning regularly but sometimes I take more then twice if its too hot. When its cold weather then I take only once in the morning with hot water and summers I prefer cold water.
I take bath after coming back from the office also as I feel relaxed and I get a good sleep.

If I do not take a shower its usually because I've gone swimming but I have to take a shower just to wake up and I cannot feel comfortable not taking a shower for the day because I think the fresh feeling starts me off just right in the morning but more importantly I have long hair and its thick so if I do not shampoo it to me it feels awful because it feels weighed down and I cannot run my hair through it without my hands feeling oily, so whether or not I have shampooed my hair the day I dont shower will determine how uncomfortable I feel, grooming is tedious.

having said that I do like to take quick showers, lasting like 10-15 minutes (unless i have to shave or condition my hair) and ending it with really cold water, thats the best.

Honestly, I don't take bath, when I stay in the house the whole day. Actually, its not entirely the whole day, just around 8 hours. I just wash my face and the area below, but not the whole body, from head to toe.
I do household chores, then I sweat a lot. After doing all those chores, and a quick rest, then I take a long shower.
When I leave the house, I do take a shower.
I remember one time, that was like 10 years ago, when I went to apply for a U.S. Tourist Visa. I am from an out of town and went to the city to apply for one. We stayed at the Hotel. The next day we have to be at the embassy at 4am. We woke up late, like 4:30am. Then we hurried brush teeth, and dress up to go at the embassy. the line was very long. I did not bother to take a bath. It's so cold to take a bath at that early hour, even if there's a hot shower. I'm still sleepy and we are late. By the time we enter the embassy it was around 10am, and I got interviewed around 11am. Guess what, I got denied. I was not given a tourist visa, because I did not take a bath. LOL.
After 5 years I went to the embassy again to apply for visa. I took a bath before having an interview. Guess what? I got my Tourist Visa.
Lesson learned, when things like this, no matter what, We should take a bath.

Lol, there is quite an experience. But maybe it is not because of the bath, I think they have a quota so maybe you got in after the last place got filled.
But yes, I think it is important to shower before living the house. You feel clean too.

It felt like hell. It was very uncomfortable and it affected my mood too. I didn't enjoyed that day. It felt so sticky, I can't understand what I feel every time I won't take a bath. One thing is for sure, I didn't like that feeling.

I will go at least two to three days without a shower and the only reason why is because of surgery or because of a water shortage in my area. Sometimes, we have to be real careful with water around here.

Dear friend,
I do not take bath mostly if I am not feeling well or sick or fever or any other disease that will not become better if I had a shower. Mostly every day I do have bath at morning and at evening after meals. Moreover to have a shower makes me feel more refreshed that too if taken in the early morning. During winter if it is too cold and the climate is too cool I would hesitate to take bath. Mostly on summer or hot days every day I have to take bath.

Here in the Philippines where the weather seems always warm and hot, I don't think I will be comfortable if I don't take a bathe even for a day. I feel quite uncomfortable and uneasy on the the times that I don't take a bathe that is when I have a high fever, but if only I could, I would really take a bathe despite of having a fever.

I normally cannot go out of my house if I haven't just had a shower. Occasionally, if I know I won't be going out at all that day, I might skip a shower. By the next morning, I can't wait to jump in the shower! I just don't like feeling all yucky! My hair is oily and if I skip a day w/o washing it I look horrible!

I feel disgusting not taking a shower for any time over a day. I can deal with not showering for a day... if I hadn't worked really hard the day before... but I have to at least wash my face and hair. I thinks its gross when people don't take care of their personal hygene whether its at home or out in public. I think its a neccesity that we all have to do. I understand the lack of energy or the fact that you probably just woke up from a party... but really theres no excuse for accomplishing this ritual some time during the day.
I love taking showers to hehe so I am PRO shower ^_^ not so much baths tho... unless im really sore... but I always have to take a shower before I bath then rinse of after a bath... something about soapy water still on me irritates me to no end!

Heck, if I'm not gonna take a shower or be clean, I'm certainly not going to be going anywhere. If I don't do it, that usually means I'm not feeling well, or I'm in a lazy mood anyway. It's usual for me to take a hot bath or shower every other day because I don't wanna dry out my skin.
Oh, and, I love Dove soap. :)

I will feel absolutely yucky!
I think it is important to keep personal hygiene. And yes, this applies to when we are sick - we should still try to bathe unless advised otherwise by our doctor. You can really feel the difference. If you don't bathe, you will be sticky and all.
Mine is a hot and humid climate so if you are not in a humid place, you can probably get away with feeling clean without bathing everyday...
There are times when I go camping and don't get to bathe... kinda s*cks lol.

That is disgusting. I can't go a day without having a shower or a bath. People sweat differently and the odor is just putried sometimes. I know it's not their fault but you can't just go and throw some deordorant on to mask it. It doesn't work. Even people who think if I load the perfume on. That is quite nasty to say the least. So for me I have to have a shower or bath everyday. That way I know I am clean and I smell good.

I am like the majority, if I am at home all day, sometimes I skip taking a bath or shower, if I am going somewhere I make sure I take one of the two. When I come home from work I take a shower, when it is hot and the summer time I take one or two a day depending on how I feel. I always take one before going to work.

I have not taken a bath or shower only when i have been down with fever. And in such a case one can't help it. Its feels really horrible when your so used to a bath.
In such cases i just wait to get well soon so that the fever goes off and i run and have a nice bath. I wouldn't be too surprised if someone told me they had a bath or shower even if they were down with fever.
