Have you tried creating your own songs?

Not with lyrics included, no. But I did use to make up songs on a keyboard I use to own. It must be very rewarding for you to be able to have a hobby turn into something that is so much more! Congratultions to you and I hope that this is only the beginning!

That is great that I made your own song, music and lyrics, but what is even better was that it got released. I think that everyone has made a song at some point, but actually getting it released anywhere but on myspace is rather rare. When I was younger about 8-12, I would make songs (just lyrics) and dance routines up with one of my friends. I think all young girls did this at the time. I never took it seriously as I knew I was not the best singer and did not wish to make a career out of it. It was just fun.

Your question made me miss those days...I was a music major, wrote songs, sang in a band, sang in a piano bar, wrote songs, sang with my brother who's in a band (and he has toured different countries because of his music)...i am a mom of two now, and barely have the time to pick my guitar and sing, or even just to sit on the piano and play a few notes. However, i do remember the too many songs i have composed - for school and for church, even for a boy band (yes!). Gone are those days. But here's a piece for the music lovers, and songwriters: Sing, write, dance, love and have fun with music. And never let an opportunity to help others with your music pass by. Never let an opportunity to make yourself better (that includes record deals) pass by. And never let opportunity to "go and show" with hopes to get a record deal or a show, or gig, pass by. Go and show. But also remember that there are music and songs you have written that is and will only be for you to sing alone, and is not for public consumption. There is one music or song for that one, special someone only to hear. And there are songs and music that you have made that's only for God and not for the public. Because He should have a share of your talent. :) Enjoy!

I tried it before, for my high school anthem. We are required to do so. It's a competition too. Whoever gets to be chosen wins a medal. LOL. So I have not choice but to make one. But I think it's not really good.

I meaned to,but I think it's too difficult.And I'm not good at music.......maybe I should learn to play a music instrument.It must be funny.

I tried before but not now actually...But my boyfriend does...he can sings and before hos dream is to be one of the contestant in a reality show here in the philippines which is PDA(pinoy dream academy) but the first batch of it which they're the one who composes their own songs...He really loves to sing and he have a golden voice (unlike me..)

Yeah, way back in high school. Our music that time was all about song compositions and we were tasked to create our own songs. But I'm not really good at it. But I've tired my best and luckily I passed the subject.

Wow congrats, I do not write songs but one time I download software that can generate automated songs, then when it finished I put up the lyrics, well its sounds funny but I try my best, create songs is hard for me because I'm not a musician, but if you do that for a hobby well good luck for that. My friend join a band but they disbanded later because it is very tiring.
