Let's Diversify

I have a Facebook, and it's handy to catch up with family photographs, etc., as my two middle daughters now live a long way away. I also have a mySpace, but don't bother with it anymore because I don't like it much. At least with Facebook people are using their real names. I actually found my first schoolfriend from when I moved to Australia - though I hadn't heard from her in over 25 years - and that was pretty exciting. I also have a blog, which I really enjoy working on. I've never heard of Yuwie or PosterOstriches ... they sound rather like PageThreeEmus - very seductive!

I have Myspace, facebook too. I did have lots more but I cannot keep up with so many of these places. I have enough trouble keeping up here sometimes. Myspace I actually like, only because in the last few days I have had hundreds of bands and the like wanting to be my friend which I think is pretty cool, and get this I am friends with Kiefer Sutherland. HOW cool is that! Plus there are millions of other of my favourites stars on there too. So I do like myspace for that, but I dont really go on it much. I do not think I actually juggle all my sites, more bumble through them than anything!!

Let's see... I started with Classmates.com years ago. I don't use that site anymore though. I then was convinced by a friend to get on MySpace. I had a good time making my page pretty and have a bunch pictures and blinking things on there. I talk to family and people that I went to school with on that. I found Mylot a year ago this month. I come here every few days, or as often as I can. I joined Facebook a few months ago. Aside from my mother in law, everyone on my facebook is someone that I went to high school with. I don't like it as much as myspace but there are different friends there that I communicate with. I really don't like all the applications that are on facebook. The bad thing is they are all being put on myspace now. I probably spend the most time here on mylot, more than all the rest put together.

Hi P1kef1sh, I am like you I really only have time to concentrate on one site at a time and myLot is my chosen one. I do have a MySpace account but don't use it and the other site is Friends Reunited but other than searching for one particular paerson haven't really used even though a couple of people have contacted me through it. I would have to be online 24/7 to cope with more than one site at a time and even on that I get behind. Ellie :D

hey daddy i have facebook which i use just as much as here and myspace (that i've been on like 3 times this year), I use messenger and email pretty much everyday. I did used to use friendsreunited but everyones on facebook now so i don't bother the only other sites i go on regular are freewebs (my website), ebay (cos i'm selling stuff) and squidoo (for my lens). I have been reading guybrushs blog recently aswell to cheer me up!

I joined quite a few different places like that but now only use Facebook. I forget what's what with most stuff. There have been occasions when I have wanted to do something on Myspace but forgot that it was about the only one on which I didn't have an account and, as I am on all sorts of random sites which I forget about, I really couldn't be doing with trying to figure that one out as well. I think a couple of Facebook "friends" have deleted me because I can't keep up with everyone on there. I couldn't even name all the sites I signed up to but I found real people on Facebook rather than random online people like on most other sites. I don't even know how I "met" some of those people.

I am only on Facebook because most of my family is on there, and it's the fastest easiest way for us to share pics with eachother. My cousin joined, and uploaded her wedding pictures there, so I decided to join to look at them, as did everyone else in the family with an e-mail account. Then when I got married (again, second ceremony since we eloped) I uploaded my pics there, since my family was already on there in the first place. Besides that, I prefer networks like this that actually PAY me for content!

Another thing we have in common my fishy friend - yaaay now you don't have to cry! I have a bebo , facebook and yuwie as well as others I cannot even remember but I very rarely look at them as I like you find I can only really concentrate on one site - I have no idea how other people manage to juggle 3 or more sites as I cannot even manage 2! We are just selective sweetheart! xxxx

I have a myspace account, which I have had for many years, I have a facebook account, which I have had for about a year and I have a posttoriches account that I have had for a month. The first two I just check on once a day, so it does not really take long for me to be completely updated on things that my friends are doing. However posttoriches takes a bit more balancing, because to earn money you have to reply to responses, which is quite tricky as many of them are locked after only a few days of them being posted.

Well, I've never even heard of some of those! I use Facebook too, and I also use it to keep in touch with family and close friends. I don't see the point really of having any other similar accounts; I think if I had more I'd just spend less time on each one, and wouldn't get to use each one "properly". I like having Facebook as my main social network site. Plus it's quite easy to use. If I joined other ones, I'd have to learn to use those too, lol! An old friend added me on yet another site, called hi5, the other day. I had to learn my way around it just to be able to see her message and send her one back. It took ages!

i'm on myspace and tsr... my myspace is set so that you need to know my last name to send a friend request, so that keeps spammers and such from bugging me. i found that it is a great way for old friends to relocate me. One friend from myspace contacted me after not seeing me since she was a child. Its pretty cool when that sort of thing happens. i also like that i can post pictures of my kids and what not so that my far away friends can see what i'm up to!

ive only used yuwie, myspace and face book but myspace is the best.. yuwie has too many technical problems and faceobook is so freaking boring its not even funny!! i have found old friends and made new ones and my current best friend are all from myspace

i have friendster and i really enjoy there with my friends but since i join mylot i have changed a lot.i spend most of the time in mylot.not just you get paid but also lots of interesting topic here.

I have about half a dozen accounts with dfferent networking sites. I usd to spend a lot of time on yahoo 360 but they messed that up. I can't be bothered to work out how yuwie etc. work so I tend to just answer questions here and very occassionly write a webble on Multiply. Oldest daughter seems to manage 3 or 4 sites, middle one seems to just talk to a strange man on facebook and yungest doesn't bother with any of them much. Another likeness between us, I rarely ask anyone to be my friend on any site.

I spend far too much time on Facebook, and have been known to do the same on here at MyLot. Aside from my absence from this site for most of the summer, I would say I juggle those two sites quite easily. I also have a Yuwie account, but I rarely go there. Although this thread has reminded me to check it out and see if I can catch up with my dear lion friend. I THINK I have a MySpace, but I never use it. I think I had to add it one time to view something or other, and let it be. Because if I'm not mistaken, it's somehow tied to my msn.

Of all the sites, you mentioned, I'm only a member of 1 - Facebook. I personally feel that it's a great site to stay in touch with friends and family. I have met so many of my friends through this channel. I think Facebook is all I need at the moment. I don't think I would be able to handle too many websites at the same time because I don't want to waste too much time there.

I have a MySpace and Facebook account, but I don't go there but every...maybe 2 months. But I do spend more time at another site something like this one. And at a writing site.

Hi plkeflsh, I wouldn't know whats that all about and I would not know how to handle it so I just stick to one thing and it keeps me out of trouble and keeps be busy, I don't know people cope with so maney sites, how do they keep up? Tamara

I don't have a facebook and Myspace too. I can't attend to all if I'll still sign up with them. I have Mylot and entrecard -good enough for me and these two keep my hands full, I do have a number of blogs to maintain too. And I have an 8 to 5 job which sometimes require me to do overtime. I'm not complaining though. I just wish I had more time to do more. Cheers!
