A lot of these "energy booster" drinks (red bull, V, mother & rockstar for example) are now in the market. People who don't get enough rest and/or energy, they drink these drinks to give them a good boost of (synthetic) energy and from what I've been hearing, they actually works. But are they really good for the body? I've been seeing a lot people heavily depending on these drinks to give them a "lift"....like becoming a certain kind of addiction to these drinks. Are they really doing themselves a favour by drinking them? What do you think?

They do give you a boost but that's about it. Don't think tons of sugar and caffeine are good for the body. Additionally, after you're body adjust for the sugar rush and the caffeine is spent, you wind up being more tired. Well at least this it what I think.

I totally agree with you on this...this is the reason why I cannot be talked into trying them. Besides, for me, they taste awful! I'd rather stick with normal softdrinks, but even with them, I'm taking them very moderately. I'd rather drink fruit juices or even just plain, cold water. And for that extra boost of energy, I'll just make sure my body gets enough rest that it needs. Coz I believe, why we feel sluggish sometimes is probably because our bodies and/or brains did not get enough rest the previous day/night. Drinking energy drinks just to get a boost of energy is like trying to solve a problem with another problem, which makes it bad. What we should do is solve a problem with a solution, then we'll be alright.

This is so true. They body speaks to us. I always had plenty of juice, milk, and cold water available when my kids were at home. Rarely did I buy soda or soft drinks other than Gatorade. I only use energy drink as a mixer for cocktails and I don't drink those very often. My biggest downfall is coffee because I love the taste. I have cut down on that too.

Yes that true. The energy drink is very helpful to fill our energy again. But not myself try it. My friend, he drink it everyday and he said that he can think clearly and have more spirit after drink it. He become addicted, he can't miss it veryday. He become jaded when he doesn't drink it. So I think it give us a good one but not drink it very often or it will become a badness to us. Now he is stop drink it cause he is been advice by his parents
