As a life long Knicks fan, I wait for the day when they win an NBA championship, at least in my lifetime. They have not won one while I was alive and I don't want to give up on them. What are your predictions?

Well, with how they have been playing the last few years, I don't see it happening anytime soon. But, they could be in the playoffs soon. I think what they need to do is take a page from the Portland Trail Blazers book. Look how fast they turned things around, and made their image better. They will definitely be in the playoff hunt this season, have a decent shot to go past the first round.

Good point. There is also a good amount of losers that they could cut loose. Maybe the first round? Thanks for the optimism; I can only hope so you know. Patience is the key with this I guess, but it is wearing thin.

Uhmm. The chances of the Knicks winning another championship in the upcoming season of the NBA is slim for me. Teams are getting better and better. As from looking at their roster, even though they have veteran players such as Stephon Marbury, Z Randolph and Jamaal Crawford.. I think lack a SG/SF position player who really plays good. Z can man the boards as well as Stephon or Jamaal can lead the team.. but another scoring output from a versatile and consistent player should be added to the mix. I don't know who and I don't have any idea but I just feel like there's still something missing in the Knicks' formula of aside from being one of the worst teams in the league each season, to being in more of the winning side and maybe even reach the playoffs in the next season (hopefully) . Best of luck to the Knicks and all Knicks' fans.

I can see why you say that. There is something missing from the knicks team and it has been missing for a long time and its heart. I haven't seen it in them since the days of Patrick Ewing and Charles Oakley. I miss those days you know and I don't know if i'll ever see it.

I don't think it will be any time soon. They don't have a center piece to build around. Unless they sign a super star in free agency I do not see it happening. Besides the Pistons who won with a bunch of really good players all the teams that win have at least one superstar. The Celtics had Pierce, Garnett, and Allen wasn't bad. The Spurs have Duncan, Parker, Ginobli. The Lakers have Kobe, the Cave have LeBron, but who do the Knicks have right now to be the leader?

Now that they have got rid of Isiah "great player but not so great as coach" Thomas, and with the addition of fresh youngsters like Patrick Ewing Junior, they will do better than last season provided that their problematic star player Stephon Marbury puts the team as his first priority again... To make it to the playoff is an achievement but I dun think they should set their targets too high.

I had hopes for Isiah, and I thought he would bring real change to the team. I mean he did in the beginning, but he just destroyed his own legacy while tarnishing the appeal of the team.
