How safe is Alertpay and Paypal?

I just registered an account with alertpay. They are asking for a photo ID. I jsut want to know how safe is it? I am just worried that hackers may get vital information with the documents that i would be submitting? Please advise

I have same question too. The problem is that I must send a photo ID and the single document which I can send is a copy of my indentity card. Why AlertPay ask so more information about you? Paypal ask only address and name without must you confirm your identity through send some documents.

AlertPay is still fairly new, but I haven't heard of anyone having problems with it.
PayPal is very safe and reputable. I have had both a business and personal account with PayPal for about 8-10 years now and have had never had a negative incident. I bought and sold online with eBay and others for a good while so I have lots of transactions, but have never had a problem with PayPal at all.
