I've had a little star with a number appear

Wow, a cute little star with the number 8 has appeared next to my name. I'm sure I didn't see it yesterday? The only thing I think it could denote is possibly best responses? Can anyone confirm or advise? Thanks

That's a ratings star. It appears once you make a total of 100 posts. The rating is 1-10 based on how others have rated your posts, so an 8 is very good.

100 posts you get a rating star, :) it's cute, although in my opinion rather useless, *unless someone can confirm otherwise* anyways congrats on your star :D

what happens if you have less stars? I hope they don't give you less bacause of that, because the people who post are who make your ratings go up... and well there are trolls on this site just as any other .;

I had a look at some of the similar discussions that appeared after I posted, someone suggested you may earn more depending on your stat rating?? I have no idea though. Thanks for the congrats!

Welcome to mylot. When you make 100 posts you get a star which represents your rating by others here on mylot! That is what the little + and - are for to the right of each discussion and post. Next goal is 200 posts, then you get to use the mylot code list to the left of the response box. It has these and styling[i][/i][u][/u]

Ah that cool to know we get increased functionalitly, I found today I needed 500 posts in order to be able to cut and paste. I'll keep at it for sure.
