I have not been on here in a while due to my sucky internet security software letting me down... At the minute I've downloaded McAfee All in one at the moment, and so far it seems to be holding up! But I wanted to know, what's the best all round PC security software (Also has to been for Vista) that I can get? It needs to be protecting my PC aswell as not slowing it down all the time like McAfee is already starting to do... So yeah, Any help?

after finding out that my free anti-virus software/s (avg8trial and later avast!) are not detecting most of the virus threats, i searched for a good security software...
it came down between mcafee 12in1 and nod32ss.. well i chose mcafee 'coz its cheaper (i installed it in 3 pc, one w/ vista os and 2 w/ winxp sp2 os).. anyway, it's holding up although not perfect..
mcafee may slow down your pc because it uses around 200mb of your memory.. (i tried nod32ss trial but i had difficulty configuring it, it won't allow to run my p2p download software..)

Yep! I used to use AVG too untill I found the wonderful world of torrents.
I'm guessing the mcafee 12in1 is the one I have at the momment, since there's alot of protection methods on it! I was told that Nod32 is good, I also used the light weight version for a little while... But like you said, it wouldn't let any p2p through and was stopping my traffic... Maybe it's a little to sophisticated for us haha.
Thanks for the input, looks like I'll be sticking with Mcafee!

Hi Jono !
I had the same problem once I found Torrents! I use Avira which is free and a Spybot also free and had very few problems. the best all round security? pheww thats a tough one, Kaspersky has been gettin good reviews, but I'm convinced that the anti-vir companies themselves develop viruses that's why no one antivirus software works consistently well.
