How do your cats let you know they're hungry?

Other than the usual pitiful miaowing if I walk into the kitchen and they are hungry, if the food bowl gets empty overnight, they start walking on me as soon as I start moving in the morning.

Very moanfull meowing is their favourite trick but they will lick their basket too and one of them actually jumps on it and throws it around as she knows it will make a bunch of noise that can't be ignored. Scratching the door is a fourth option and last but not least running into my room and trying to tear the sack of catfood open (only me two most bold kitties dare to do so, lol, but they are big eaters and are hungry allways).

Josie is the most insistent. She bats my arm; she disconnects my dial-up computer from the phone jack;; she mews piteously; she lies down on the mouse; she bats my fingers; she purrrrrrrrs. She only gets canned food, as do all of ours, so I do have to dish it out and open the cans. She has a whole different set of tricks for morning that include walking over my face and rubbing on my nose and mouth getting fur in my mouth. She lies on me and wonders why I can't get up. Cats are funny.

We always feed our cats at about 4pm. About 1pm they start coming in and being over freindly with us and asking for there tea. I don't know why they do it as they never get there tea until 4pm. If they make too much fuss and make a nuise of themself then they get put out into the garden again. Silly is that when they get there tea they never always eat it!!!
