More than 5 Years in Dubai and Still Counting

Time flew so fast. I've seen Sheikh Zayed Road turning from literally very few buildings, to fully congested one. The developments had been quite fast...along with soaring high cost of living. I really wonder until when it will continue. In just a matter of less than 2 hours, I had 2 ticket fines that cost me US$ 150.00!!! Just because I did not park properly in front of my own apartment building! I can't believe it.

yah.friend its very disgusting to hear this type of thing.sometime the people does not make mistake but they have to pay for that.sometime they make mistake they known that they are donig a mistake.its always a wrong thing. its very silly to hear such type of thing from you that you have to pay charges for such thing for parking a car in front of building. i think ,times comes to change these law.do something friend.friend other this can happen with others also

That's true... With all the unlogical indirect tax that they are burdening people with, sometimes you wonder if it is still worth staying here. I had tried to locate and file a complain. The first question is "Where do you want me to park when there are no available parkings in the very building I live!" I was really frustrated, but at the moment, couldn't find a way out of it. Last week, my water and electric bill doubled as well, only for me to know that without notice, they had added ridiculous housing fees!

I used to be a resident of Dubai 8 years back. I really loved the place. It was so beautiful and clean with tall and beautiful buildings like the trade center, twin towers, building of trade and commerce, Etisalat (Telecommunication Company) and many more. But now i have heard from friends there that it has become even 10 times more beautiful than before. I would definitely love to pay a visit back to Dubai some day. Its sad to hear that you got fined 2 tickets for not parking properly. They are very strict over there and the fines are really high.
