Are you afraid of people with HIV or AIDS

I have been chatting with people over the years and heard some of the craziest thing come from their mouth. Some say they couldn't be friends with someone with the virus some say they wouldn't kiss them or be in the same roonm with them how ignorant is that? I believe everyone makes mistakes and I wanted to know how fellow mylotters felt about this sensitive issue. And do you have any friends or family with the virus? I do and I love them the same as I always will

I truly agree bunzor and maybe they would understand after gaining some much needed knowledge.

People aren't really afraid of the person containing the virus(s), they are just afraid of catching/contracting the virus.

It is what it is.... they are afraid of the people period.... if they had that small piece of common sense they would be able to interact with people and be sensitive to others feelings and realize that they are at risk everyday who knows what the next person in line at the grocery store has or maybe at work or school HIV/AIDS has many faces sweetie

well i was raised to be scared of it and to think that you can get it from sweat even but i was raised around a few people that had aids.. my parents just made me paranoid about possibly drinking after them or something but at that time no one seemed to know what the hell caused it so i cant jump on them too much for their ignorance.. but i ate with them.. hugged them.. knew them for years.. they passed and i dont have aids.. *gasp!* lol.. its sad when people are still that way now that there is so much info to tell people not to be scared of them and that you cant catch it by being near them.. im a germaphobic and i can handle it which is saying a lot.. ask anyone that knows me lol
