In this discussion I would like to know how you as a person maintain your weight and physic. Any special daily activities? Example: Swimming, biking, jogging, etc. Any special diet habits? Example: eating lots of fruits, eating only lean meat, etc and last but not least What motivates you to do so? Please be honest as I would like to learn how I can better myself.
healthy way=diet and exercise,etc
easy way= surgery,etc
fatal way=swallowing a tape worm,etc
So which category do you fall under?

Swallowing a tape worm? LOL!! That's a funny one but not something I would want to try. I live a low carb lifestyle which initially helped me to lose 25 pounds about ten years ago and has helped me to keep it off without exercise. I'm over 50 and work full time so I don't have the time or energy to do anything that requires moving after a long day at the office. Eating right and exercising are the best ways to maintain a healthy weight and is very good for you.

I agree, a low carb lifestyle is the easiest and best, even if it gets bad press. Everyone thinks we just eat meat and nothing else, we actually eat NO processed foods and lots of fruits and veggies. People do not realize how bad junk food is for you and sugar and starches are junk!
I am going to be 60 in a few weeks and feel better than I did at 40! We went on a hike last week and I remember doing it when I was in my 40's and could not walk and talk. I was a little concerned because 18 months ago I had foot surgery. I was quite surprised how well I did.

LOL
Well, i tried the fatal way, which DOES NOT work, you just end up re-gaining all the weight you lost plus more. Which is not good.
The healthy way is the only way, calorie restriction and exercise.
When i loose weight i personally choose weightwatchers, this way i can still eat foods i like such as chocolate and cake in moderation and loose weight at a steady rate of 1-2lb a week. This then stays off as long as you dont return to unhealthy binge habits!
