Were you impressed with Tom Hanks in Cast Away, as I was?

I feel that Hanks did a wonderful job in Cast Away. He was able to carry large portions of screen time on his own, keeping that time from becoming boring or tedious. The film was also very touching and sad in certain moments, and I felt that Hanks played the emotional portions perfectly?
Where you as impressed with him as I was?

I was very impressed with Tom's performance. As with most things he does he did very
well. But equally impressive I think, was to realize the total number of people on that beach to make this happen. Not just occasionally but for every moment of that film. In spite of the fact there were many people behind that camera, the movie gave you a very true feeling of what it would be like to be totally alone on a desert island. Pulling that off as well as they did required intense cooperation from everyone. I found the whole movie to be excellent.
