The only thing that gets me about this is, how many times have we invaded the country since then and only NOW decided to have the Iraqis try and convict him for something that happened in 1982. So either we let 24 years of turmoil occur without taking action or everything they are saying was happening and the reasons for the invasions between now and then is a lie.
While I agree from the evidence I have seen that the guy did some absolutely atrocious things, I think that the US government chosing when to act on it is entirely based on the governments' own agenda and has nothing to do with what actually occurred.

Well, the end of another despot, but I wish it had been brought about in a fair and lawful manner. The US had to manufacture a false premise to attack a soverign nation. Saddam deserves what he has been awaraded, but did the Iraqi citizens ask Bush to intervene in the first place? This is the blot that is gonna remain on the US forever, I wish it were not so, for the US is a country that I admire the most after my own -India.

i think saddam is suffering not much because of his deeds but because he is not on the puppets list of america, thats what U.S. is it wont even think abt inhumanities in the countries who supports it(read forced to do support)but will go to war with the countries who dey their power and stand on their on. a time will come when this world will have only two type of countries 1 who will obey U.S. like good servants and other invaded by america for disobeying it
