hi mylotters I got this inspiration from a discussion I just
'responded to. tell me is this good, bad, or indifferent.
I Must have given life, As I helped my patients, with their
daily needs, I stood beside her crib, and held her hand
as she lay dying, I must have given life. I wept when Billy'Monday almost died. His fifth surgery to get peanuts out of his lungs,
I must have given life. I cheered with the others when his mom'got to take him home. I rode with the kids in the ambulance, they wanted only me, Nurse Clark, As we moved into our new hospital,
I must have given life. I worked for many years as a nurses aid
and I saw just about everything a nurses aid could see. Hope
there is a bit of merit in this quickly written poem. give me
your output please.

Hello there Hatley, it's been awhile since I've answered your discussion. I would have to say that careers that really have my utmost respect would be nurses, fire-fighters, armies/soldiers, lifeguards and also fighter pilots and pilots in general. They risk their life out there, if you know what I mean. And for nurses, they are doing something that not many people are cut out for. So I give a lot of credit for these groups of people. And not forgetting the volunteer workers. They take the most credit, for doing something for free.

wow....I love the poem, very touching!
I really admire people who have a genuine heart for others and wish all the people in that field have the same dedication and feeling towards their patients! Sad to note not all! But, I know with what you have done, you have touched a lot of lives as well as motivate others to do the same!

Hi Hatley, That is beautiful and only some people can do the work you did for others, I know I couldn't, I would get so emotionally involved and would spend most of my life in tears. You done a wonderful job and yes you must have helped and given so much life. Huggles. Ellie :D

hi cheney lets see a yur later. give life I think what they were
saying is that when you work at helping others you give new meaning to your own life. sometimes in some helping careers you do help save other peoples lives and that gives more meaning to your own life. now your life counts for something.

hi stephcjh that reminds me of the unspoken code country p eople haveif they see anyone stranded on the highway they stop and help in any way they can, why? because they never know when they might be stranded a long ways from any town and need help too.so nobody just drives on by.it just isnt done.

That was a very touching poem. Good nurses like you do help in the healing of a human, in body and spirit. I remember the times I was in the hospitol and I still remeber the kind nurse that took so great care for me. I thank God for those like you who do care and show they care.
