I am working now, but when I was a student I also wanted to work while studying. I kept convincing my mom that I can do good at both study and work. I will have opportunities o discover my other talents/abilities. I will be aware of the real world. The experiences that I will learn will add up in enhancing or molding my character as I grow. My mom bought these reasons but she allowed me to have work on summer vacations only. During school days I only study and do my other interests in life like my painting/drawing and writing. I did learn a lot and I am thankful to my mom that she allowed me to enjoy being a student and not being in a hurry to earn. Working while studying is a case to case basis. If you have a choice try to enjoy school but if opportunity is already knocking at your doors, grab it. take care and happy mylotting =)

From my experience, i would suggest you to think twice before engaging yourself in the work and study lifestyle. I found that was cool from the beginning(having money to spend etc) but after no less than 1 month i was losing my concentration on my study specially when the exams were ahead. Exam preparations require time to devote.

Hi friend, you should have tell about your study here. If you ask me, you need to study well. After getting good score in your exams, its easier to grab a good job. getting good marks is not important but your knowledge in your field. Just keep in touch.

I am both and more. I am a full time student in pursuit of my bachelors, as well as a full time mom of four whom I school from home, also work outside my home for about 30 hours a week, and have started a home school cooperative in which I teach 4 classes a week. There's no reason to limit yourself to one area.

people say that working while studying is a hard thing to do specially when you want to excel and have good grades. in my opinion, it is better for you to choose what you really want first in your life- whether to work first and get a job or study and focus yourself on it. it's up to you to choose the path you are going to take first as long as you are determined to do it, you will really succeed in any area.
