What do you do when a stranger smiles at you?

I always encounter this, what I usually do is to think first If I know the person and after that I smile at him/her also. LOL! Reverse psychology in short. But at the back of my mind, I tell to myself that he/she likes me. LOL! Im just being true to myseld and that's what I feel. LOL!

Hi sendoh,
I live in Bombay and its a very busy place. Here usually people give each other a weird look and then move on 
. I mean its like mind your own business type attitude here.
If someone is giving me smile then i return it with a smile and if some one gives me a weird look i give a weird look as well .
Thats how it is and i really dont think too much y some one is smilling at me. Becoz most of the time iam in my own world and i have better theings to worry about .

I guess there is no harm in smiling back and say hi or hello. I feel good when someone I encounter smiles at me. It seems as if he/ she wants to befriend me. But of course, it will depend on what his/ her actuations are when he/ she smiled at me.

Yeah you are right my friend. It is actually depend on how the smile of the stanger being meant to you because sometimes misperception is taking place. Anyway, thanks for responding. Happy mylotting and God bless!

if a stranger smiles you i think than there's something funny with me or about my appearance so thts why he smiled and manytimes happens to me i instead keep on thinking do i knw her or him .

I usually stare at the person who smiles at me, just as you do, I also smile back at them. But at the back of my head, I always wonder who they were. I can't blame them. I just think we really have met before 'cause sometimes, even my classmates way back in elementary through college, I can't recognize them anymore. Maybe I have this selective amnesia or worst a "memory gap".LOL....
