I went to a funeral yesterday. I was so surprised that
people didn't have the respect to pull over on the side
of the road for five minutes while the funeral procession
went bye.
I'm pretty sure it is a law in the state where I live, that
you stop. I guess the police couldn't ticket everyone, but
it is very disrespectful to the family.
Where you live, is it a law that you pull over for a funeral
procession, or do you do it out of respect?

I agree with you, no only it is respecting the people that have have lost a loved one, it is also being courteous to the people who are out of town and really need to follow or they will be lost.
That is something I have no paid attention to, as I do not drive, and I am always walking or getting on the bus.

Well I don't know if it is a law here in NY, but I always pull over in respect, as it is the right thing to do. People who don't are very rude, and I have seen it many times. People are just to much in a hurry these days to stop and think...

In NY you would think of all places that would be the
place where they would show respect for your loved ones
that have passed on. That really surprises me.
I'm glad some people stop.
Thanks.......;-)

Hi Walk..and I'm so sorry about those idiots not giving respect for all of you yesterday..I always give respect..pull over and wait till they are passed by..it is the Law here and most are aware and do this too..unless they are new/young drivers and haven't been told.
Huggs to you

Hey Kitty,
Thanks for the thought of sorrow.
I'm glad your town sees the law. I think
so many don't. And don't show respect.
It's sad.
Thanks....:-)

Its both a law here in WA and also i do it out of respect, i mean seriously why would you want to keep going and pass and look rudely at all the sad people and try to get a look in the hearse, that's just disrespectful, i've seen people do that and it upsets me that they have no respect for someone who's just passed or their family.

I agree. I have no idea how someone could just keep
going.
It upsets me also.
Thanks for the response..........;-)
