Some days I amaze myself!
Sometimes I have my body in 3rd to 5th gear when my brain is still in Neutral!
Yesterday I was clearing some small willowly brush.
I held it back so I could get to the lower stem to cut it with a sharp machette.
I thought I had them all cut so let go and stood up.
One branch came up and snapped me right between my eyebrows so hard that it
brought tears to my eyes. I was yelling," Oh mother of God that hurt!"
I came in the house because I was sweating like crazy but when I looked in
the mirror it was blood dripping down my face along both sides of my nose.
I have a nice little( about 1/2 inch) cut which means everyone askes me
what happens! So again and again I have to tell about my stupidity!
Please tell me you have dumb blunders in your life too!

OUCH!!!! Raydene - I can feel that even here! Do you think it needs a stitch?
As for dumb blunders - my life is so full of them I still need to write a book and at least get paid for having gone through them!
But, one time while at work, I had my drawer open for something and then leaned into my desk for something else while using my body to shut the drawer. Well....darned if I didn't shut the drawer on my nipple!!!??!! I yiped, but couldn't exactly tell the men around me why (although I'm sure they could have related with a zipper story if I had pursued it).
And, there was one time when my mother was sick - she went into the bathroom to lean over the toilet and the seat wasn't up all the way like she thought - it came crashing down and hit her on the bridge of her nose as she was being sick! Needless to say, it didn't help matters!! And, she had two black eyes to boot! Try explaining that to people when you're in the store!!!
Apparently, in my case anyway, it's genetic!

I have doozy of a dumb move. I have always been known to get after anyone leaving a garden rake with the tines sticking up. You can step on them, the stick comes up and smacks you in the face. Well sure enough I was outside cleaning up one day. I had the rake in my hand and was walking, I sort of put the rake in front of me and took a step. Yep I stepped on the tines, yep the handle smacked me in the face. I had a lump and then a bruise on my forehead. It hit me so hard I saw stars. Of course my dumb move had to be witnessed by the neighbor.

oh ouch ouch double ouch! Hope it is healing nicely. Did you end up with shiners too? Sometimes a knock like that to the face gives you black eyes as well. I have had my share of blunders too but I usually reserve them for right out in public where everyone can see me being an idiot.

Are you ok Raydene, I mean now, it is really hurt i guess. Talking about Dumbness. I have so many to share it but I am so shy to share it, because it is a total dumbness. Wait till I have the courage to share it, or I guess I will make a discussion over this in the future. I am so shy Raydene, I can't share.

I once got my finger slammed in a car door, and while the blunder was not physically noticable, I did have to explain to a lot of people why I was not using that finger.
Another time I got the third finger (swearing finger) on my left hand BITTEN BY A HORSE) and that was something interesting to explain. The nurse told me to keep the finger up, so i got to give everyone the finger in school all week. Especially nice, since I HATEd my teacher that year!

Oh Mom! That sounds painful and is such an easy thing to do - I do hope that it has cleared up now! I have done so many dumb things in my life it would take too long to list them all! I think one of the worst is when my brother gave me a 'backie' on his bike (you know where you sit on the back of someones bicycle) my foot got caught in the spokes of the wheel and my ankle went snap! My Grandma say s it wasn't my brothers fault and I shouldn't have gotten on the back of the bike but I think the fact that I was 3 and my brother 14 means he should have known better and I had a very good excuse! lol xxx
