Bravo mylot! I have just witnessed the removal of an idiot for the first time!

'Tis a historic moment! To my understanding we cannot specifically name who the "idiot" is but he was popping up all over the place with ridiculous statements about Winona Ryder and baysitter's etc. He was making a complete mockery of a numebr of people here so thank goodness he was picked up on and ejected by mylot admin. What do you think inspires people to carry on this way? Are they that pathetic and desperate for attention that even negative comments or attention feeds their desires? Trolls are one thing but people like this are a different thing altogether. Why do YOU think they do things like this and act this way?

I was kind of busy for the last few days and must have missed this wonderful specimen of humanity. What a shame! I am very glad that mylot has been vigilant enough and quick to respond to complaints and reports of this type of lunacy. And a big hand to all who reported this person and made mylot safe and secure for the rest of us to go about our daily business without fear of heckling.

I have been having a difficult time lately finding discussions to respond to. Lately, I just have nothing to say.

Oh! What a terrible shame for you. lol. It seems that there were a lot of complaints flying in all at once and yes, mylot did move quickly. Kudos to them! As I have said earlier it was only the 2nd time I ever reported someone and I am happy that I did. Thanks for responding and it's nice to see you again. It has been a while I think.

I think people like the attention... that and its just part of who they are. There are those who scoff and those who get scoffed. I can't stand hyper mouthy people... but oh well they get dealt with accordingly! At least my lot snipped this one in the butt hehe

I have always read other posts about people getting canned but until now had never actually witnessed it. This user must have goat a heck of a lot of complaints for this to happen so quickly. Yeah it has to be for the attention no doubt. I wonder what people like this are like in the real world? Thanks for responding and let's hope that this tool doesn't come back under another name!

I think a lot of it is people just get bored. Any major message board, especially one that has a lot of passionate members can really get people interested in trolling. They know that if they fool around long enough and make enough statements, people will eventually get ticked off and frustrated enough where they're engaging them in flame wars. Not to mention, it is an entertainment thing. If they're bored and can get a handful of people on a message board to get frustrated enough with them to start insulting them and everything else, they can sit back and laugh and have a good ole time with it.

I get bored too sometimes and because of this I may tease the odd friend a little more than usual; but I would never resort to this level shown! I have no doubt that this was all about shock value and seeing how quickly his time lasted I hope it was worth it for him! Maybe he is reading all of these comments anyway and still getting a rush out of it? There are some odd people in this world that's for sure! Thanks for responding, your comments are much appreciated.

Good day.. Some people just can't stay away from the limelight even if it's going to make them look stupid. Some people would just want to get as much attention they can even when it's making them look like a joke. It's just some people..

And good day to you too! Yes, what started out as wanting to be in the limelight ended up more like a deer in the headlights for this idiot! lol. The intention was definitely to get attention but the joke ended up on him big time. Thanks for responding.

I don't know why people do this, but I wish I knew who you were talking about. I actually had found someone this morning who did something that I found really disturbing. It was the first time for me that I myself actually witnessed something that really upset me. Someone was looking for help about something serious and this other person was making fun and saying completely moronic remarks and wouldn't stop. I was so angry! I didn't do anything about it because I just didn't think! I'm thinking now! You just reminded me that there is something that I can do! Color me stupid! I am going to take this matter into my own little hands. I don't know why people like this exist, I guess it's because they have no life of their own and probably no friends so they decide to come here and annoy people like us because they have probably been cast off every site there is! Lucky mylotters. So James, we must band together to get rid of them from here even it is one by one! I will let you know how I make out! Wish me luck!

I don't know why people like this exist either. The example you gave is exactly the reason why I chose to report someone for only the second time ever. It is really disrespectful to make a mockery of someone elses seriouspost in the way this person did. We do have a voice and sometimes rather than sit by and watch the parade we need to take part in it! AS long as we don't get too carried away with everything and intelligently pick our fights then it will be for the benefit of everybody. Thank you for responding and I wish you all the luck in the world!

Apparently, I have no clue who you are talking about....(as you know...I haven't been around much and happy about it now that I know some wierdos were around). Since I don't know 'what' these people were doing...I can't answer the part about 'why' I think they were doing it.

There was a whacko once who would put comments in my discussions....it wasn't disrespectful (well, I don't know if it was...it didn't seem like English to me)...some of his comments were about the Bible (but that didn't make sense either because it wasn't in proper sentences). I had added him as a friend after he requested but in two days I figured out this was a whacko and it stopped after I deleted him from my list.

Thank goodness we have the power to remove people like this. I have had the same on occasion and it just doesn't make any sense why they would be this way? Attention seeking is the only explanation I can come up with.

This is probably a good thing actually! You didn't miss much, just an idiot being ridiculously crude and disrespectful in other people's posts; but good riddance to bad rubbish and this person is now but a memory. myLot always seems to attract the occasional whack-job from time to time but this one just happened to be a little more whacked in the head than usual! Thanks for the response.

Hi james, Yes i started a discussion about the Suze orman show and some one wrote a lots of crap in response. Actually the point is in not paying any attention to them beocz thats what they wanted. Its really good that they deleted his response and its all cool now. BTW one of my very good friend got her account deleted and she is unable to open her account. I dont know whats the problem really Cheers, Tutul

Hi tutul! Yes sometimes there are many posts regarding other people that have been deleted yet no-one is really sure why. I do not have any personal experiences of this myself but at least with this other idiot this was one of the cases where there is no question that they should be gone. I agree that the best thing to do is ignore them but I have to admit I did eventually post that their approach was getting boring! A few minutes later this person was gone so I ended up wasting it! Thanks for responding and maybe your friend has just experienced an administrative hiccup of sorts and all will be sorted out? Fingers crossed.....

Yeah I guess Mylot should be looking for these kind of people around. Another concern I am worrying is that there are member users that uses different usernames and using proxy to evade being detected as one and the same as the other usewrname. I read from the other posts that there is a blog that tells how to trick Mylot system. I think Mylot should be aware of these as they are not just fair for members who play fair in here.

I am sure they are being as vigilant as they can but it is one heck of a task trying to keep tabs on everything! It is up to us as members to also be vigilant and thank goodness we have the report functions there to jump on anything we see that isn't right. People definitely come back as new users under different names as I have seen it before. What the idiots don't realize though, is that their true personalities show back up eventually and they get nailed again and again! I had no idea about this blog you have mentioned, but it never ceases to amaze me how there are always people looking to exploit one system or another. Thanks for the response.

Without proof of the blog with the link itself, it may be difficult to warn mylot admibn about something like this I think. When I get a free minute, I will have a search myself online and see if I can find anything about it too and if I do, will forward it to mylot for their consideration. For all we know it could just be someone bragging away about something that doesn't even exist so let's see if I can find anything. As I said before, this is the first time I have ever heard anything about this blog, so hopefully it is just a rumour. It wouldn't surprise me though if someone WAS trying to teach others how to scam the system because there is always SOMEONE trying to.

I just read a post from someone that he came across one blgo teeling everybody there how he is scamming Mylot and even claimes that he could earn $18 a month in it. The poster did not mention the link though but that is just a concern that Mylot should be checking on as it would unfairly be paid for those referral fees and post made by the same person. I just hope this one can be uncovered and stopped the soonest since I also do not know how I can report this kind of a new practice to trick Mylot system.

'Tis a really historic moment James. Idiots like him should be removed who are at myLot just to gain attention and not to do serious discussions. People like him should be removed (I don't know why I repeated this sentence, but I think my conscience asked me to do so). It is all because we, the serious myLotters reported him as abuse and so the attention of the Administration went on him, and so he was kicked out of this wonderful site. Cheers! AJ Rox.

I totally agree marcia. All they are after is attention and they don't really care how they get it. The best thing we can ever do with people like these is ignore them and they will quickly lose interest and disappear. The issue though, is sometimes people overstep the mark to the point where it becomes really difficult to ignore them forever! Thanks for the response.

I hate these types of people and I think we will unfortunately 'bump' into these types more than once in our lives, even outside mylot. There's just one word that comes into my mind and that is 'nothing better to do' and just an attention seeker. I don't know why someone would utilize their time doing stuffs like that. It is just a waste of time, pretty childish come to think of it and nothing gain in the process at all. I would rather him spending his time in mylot and answering quality discussions or something. Life would be more meaningful if one could make full use of their time; be it online and offline, and I think perhaps this person derives satisfaction from irritating others. That's sad but unfortunately true. Hope there won't be 'him' anymore in the future. Have a nice day.

I certainly don't hate them; just pity them I guess. And I agree that people like this exist not just on this site but pretty much everywhere at some time or another. But it IS far easier to be this way anonymously online so people like this tend to have a little more bravado than usual. I hope that this is the last of him also. Thanks for responding.

Seriously... I have seen others tread a fine line before and I honstly don't really have any major issues with that; but whoever this idiot was, was in a world of their own! They may just be out there somewhere viewing discussions like this one now and getting some weird kick out of it? Thanks for responding and it is definitely good riddance to bad rubbish this time around!

At first I thought this guy was just posting discussion after discussion just to earn some money. And then it's all about Winona Ryder this and that and some other posts too. I couldn't believe that he's gotten to 100 posts and he even got a blue #2 star. I think what's good about myLot is that users know well enough to not respond to such questions. I figured he got removed when I saw his reply to a banana split question I replied to as well disappeared.

So he had a star as well? Strangely enough I saw the number next to the name but their was no star? Hmmm. Yes it appears that not only his comments but also discussions have been removed. Thank goodness for that! We all owe it to ourselves to completely ignore idiots like that. Normally I would do just that but this was one instance when I felt it had gone a tad too far. Thanks for responding to my discussion.

This was some time ago riya and interestingly enough an even WORSE offender popped up not long after. Thankfully this personn too was removed, then came back as a new user with a new username; and was removed yet again! The first time they were here being an idiot it was really frustrating because mylot took over 3 weeks to get rid of them; but the second time around they did so in under 48 hours so they certainly made up for the first time! It is definitely a case of good riddance to bad rubbish and although we will always continue to have people abusing the system like this, at least we know that collectively we can make a difference and get the out. Thanks for the response.

I have NO IDEA who you are talking about:(.. im left in the dark lol. i did not get to see this person.. Oh well was no losss for me obviously!:). i think it is because they have no life, and they are just that bored. it is funny to them so they keep doing it. and if people were replying, and commenting on his responce, that is what im sure made him keep going. he thought it was funny to recieve that answers like he did.. haha if hats so. theres a veary good chance you can find the discussions on ytmnd.

Being in the dark in this instance is not so bad. Far more relaxing and peaceful this way! Thankfully no one seemed to really respond to many of his discussions or comments at all. Thanks for responding and let's hope we see no others like him again for some time.

Yes actually, some people are like that. I've known some, for a very very short time. I think these people have very low self esteem,so they make fun of other people and cut them down and make ridiculous comments about them, which makes him/her feel better, even though the person who is doing this is the actual person he/she is putting down ect. I hope you can understand what I'm saying! I'm glad mylot caught him/her and booted him out!!!! Good for mylot!!

People are created to be unique and different from each other but for me people like that are those people who wants to be noticed. They wanted attention because they have done things in life which are neglected by others.
