Cannot view hidden files? Here's my solution.

My computer was infected with a virus that disables the user to view hidden files. After weeks of finding out the solution over the Internet, i was able to solve the problem. Formatting my computer was my last option, fortunately, i never reached that point. I use Windows XP as my operating system. I did the following: 1.) Scanned my computer with the online kaspersky virus scanner: http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner 2.) Manually searched and deleted infected files with the help of avast antivirus home edition. 3.) Followed the steps in this website: http://itfaqs.blogspot.com/2007/10/why-can-not-view-hidden-files.html 5.)
