Head On Collission - Car Accident. What your worst car accident?

I remember 3 years back when I had a head-on collission with a taxi. It was 15:30H, a day-off. I passed by one of our company's shop to drop off something after coming from the beach. This is what happened... I was driving towards the traffic light, the first car in the three lane road, I checked the lights and it was green so I went ahead. Wondering why the other cars in my side lanes stopped, it was too late when I saw the taxi driving really fast, screeching his brakes. As he is coming from my right in the driver's side, my reflexes went to action. My thinking was fast. If I don't break, he will hit me big time on my driver's side, if I break completely, atleast I will have some space in front of me. I break so hard that the screeching is too harsh. I felt a feeling I had never felt before. In matter of seconds, I was as if waiting for our collission, and it felt like eternity until finally, boom. My car started releasing smoke in front, lady as I am who doesn't know anything about cars, and having this as my first serious accident (and hopefully the last), I thought the car will explode! Oh gosh, I run as fast as I can leaving everything in the car. Imagine a lady in pink stilettos in white beach clothes running for her life! It's hilarious! Then the guard in the nearby building came to the rescue. He put off my car's engine and asked if I am fine. I was shaking like hell. He told me that day before, the same accident happened involving a lady driver as well and a taxi. The reason is that the sun is directly hitting the traffic light that it is highlighting prominently the green light when it is actually red. The traffic light having no secondary small light below it, accidents as such occured. To this day, if ever I wanted to capture a moment of my life, this will be it. It's just too hilarious that I had laughed at the end because I imagine a somehow innocent lady in stiletto's running as fast as she can for her life! Oh gosh.

I've only been in one car accident but I can remember it like happened yesterday. I was about 12 years old. My mother and I were driving, it was the in the early afternoon. We had just gone to the library, so I had 6 books sitting in the floor board. The radio was playing softly of some oldies station (my mom's favorite) and we were contemplating on going to the lake or not. She was traveling at about 45mph when I started to notice the sky. There were large dark clouds forming and it was growing larger by the minute. I remember looking up and saying "Mom, look up th...and then I brought my gaze back to level with the street. Up ahead the light had turned red and there was a truck (Ford) stopped. The next moment happened so fast yet also in slow motion. I remember hearing my scream echo through the car, my body being jerked out of the seat and my head slamming into the windshield. I wasn't wearing my seatbelt. After the final impact I was sitting back in the seat again and looking around a bit dazed and confused. I looked over at my mom and reached out to see how she was. She had a huge gooseegg on her forehead from hitting the steering wheel. Once she saw me her eyes got huge and almost screamed of panic. I asked her what was wrong and she started crying and said "Oh honey!' I looked down and the front of my t-shirt was drenched in my own blood. Seeing all of the blood, I really started to panic. People were starting to run over to us at this point and ask if everything was alright. I could hear the sirens by now. Three police cars, 2 firetrucks, 1 ambulance came to our aid. They pulled open my door and told me to not move a muscle. They put me in traction and carried me on a gurney into the ambulance. Once we got to the hospital, they checked me over and thankfully I was fine and free to go. I looked like I had just escaped some massive killing spree, my head hurt worse than ever before. But we were just fine. Lessons learned: Don't EVER distract drivers and ALWAYS wear your seatbelt!
