Bed or Couch

You would not be comfortable sleeping on my couch it is rock hard. Have you tried sleeping on a different mattress that really helped my back I had an old uncomfortable mattress but switched to a pillowtop and it really helped.

I suggest to put the firm bed, sleep facing the ceiling and putting a small pillow under your back. It may not be comfortable at first, but it aids your back. Sleeping in poor posture may worsen your back dilemma.

My bed is comfy and my couches are too small and hard to sleep on. I would never give up my bed for the couch. On the other hand, my sister's couches are REALLY comfortable and I could totally sleep on them! I think you should do whatever is most comfortable for you.

It is not odd at all. However depending on the kind of mattress you have makes a huge difference. Is yours firm, semi firm or soft? With having a bad back it is better to have a fimer mattress than a soft one. As well pack pillows along your back if you are sleeping on your side. As well have a pillow to hug and one between your knees. Another thing if you are sleeping on your back make sure to have a good size pillow under your knees. This will take alot of pressure and strain off your spine. With a couch it gives you support as your are leaning up against the back of the couch which gives it support as well couches are alot firmer than mattress most time. I know exactly how you feel. I have a bad injury and I have one heck of time sleeping really on anything as it has gotten to the point nothing helps anymore and nothing works. But this is what my doctor as well as my surgeon have told me.

i never consider couch is comfortable to sleep on not unless if im very tired. with bed, it depends with the mattress. the mattress we have right now is very very very comfortable!!! our old matress is comfortable too. it was serta.

I wouldn't. I have the same problem right now. When I have company over, I ususally give them my bed so they wont have to sleep on a couch. couches also tend to wear out alot sooner and more easier than a sturdy bed.
