How brave are you?

Do you think that you can self threat yourself if you suffer some life threatening injury like a gunshot wound, or a snake bite and there is no one around to help you get to the hospital or let's say you are unable to get any help for some reason or the other? IN my home country, when the natives suffer a snake bite, they treat themself by cutting out the bitten part with a knife so it won't poison and kill them...they say they rather loose a piece of their body than die. Are you that brave?

gt, I'd be more afraid of infection by cutting out flesh. I don't really know what I'd do. That's a situation I'd have to be in before I could make that kind of decision. I have such a low tolerance to pain that I hope I never have to make that kind of choice. Wow!! leenie

Hi gtdonna, i am not that brave. i cant lose a body part ..i will prefer to die. People are brave and they are willing to live in any condition.. but i am afraid i cant think that my leg/hand is not with me and i need to do thing with others help.. why other people suffer because of me, its better to die. thanks enjoy:)

I understand how you feel...I have once burned the bottom of my foot with candle wax when I felt something moving inside and had no clue how to take it out...that was the closest I came to bravery lol

I thought to myself that I am brave, but one incident that I don't forget is when I wash the dishes, and then the plate broke and the broken pierce my hand so big I was panic. I don't know what to do at that time, then I treat myself with no help because its 4:00 in the morning, there is no person would help in that time, so for now my scar is heal thankfully and god is ver blessed by me.

WOW! You reacted very quickly, some people would have stand there and watch the blood drip in panic. Glad you're ok today and was able to do what was necessary

I could help save someone else, yes. Truth is, I couldn't save myself from a snake bite or gunshot wound. If I was drowning, that is the only situation where I could save myself.

to be honest ,i feel i have no that courage ,if i bited by a snake true ,i would rather die than to cut out my bitten part ,in my country ,there are little chance to see a snake ,let alone was bited by a snake ,so i do not know what i will to do if i true was bited by a snake ,in particular by a poison snake .
