Do you base your faith on what God \has taught you through the Anointing or are you basing it on what man has taught you? Faith that is based on man's teaching is called blind faith and it will let you down the first time you really need it. True faith is based on the truth God has personaly taught you through the Anointing and it will never fail you. Let's hear your thoughts and comments on this subject.

I was raised Christian - Baptist, actually - and so my faith initially was taught by man. But somewhere along the way, and when I was very young, I felt God call to me. I was baptized in my church, but stopped attending not long after that - when I was about 12, I stopped going regularly. Man's idea of God - in many cases - is so out of tune with what my heart tells me God is that it is painful at times. So much hate comes from man-taught religion, and to me, God is love, forgiveness, and acceptance. God understands my moments of weakness, and He forgives them - I don't need to pray nightly or say 10 Hail Mary's or however you do it for His forgiveness. God loves us as His children, and like all parents, that love is unconditional...and the church has stepped away from that theology.
So to get back to your question - initially my faith was based on what I was taught. Now it is based on what I feel and know in my heart, and that's much more potent than anything a man could teach me.

Thanks for your comments. You said something there I would like to see a lot more people practice, "What I feel and know in my heart". I believe a lot of people would get a lot farther a lot faster is they would listern to their hearts more and get away from this,"Performing in an acceptable manner".

I baeed my faith on what the bible says. There is a guidelines to follow , I heard faith for the first time with my parents, and they occasionally go with them on
churches. Man's teaching is not true faith but if his teachings would be based on the
bible surely it is a true faith. God give the power of the prophets to spread the word of God and thats faith, even the priest and the pastors.

In this day in time I don't really believe God uses prophets, priest and Pastors. That just isn't how Jesus set His church up. The Christian teaching system Jesus set up was to be one on one directly with God throught the Holy Spirit. Jesus gave man a small teaching job but man isn't doing it right. It was to be parents duty to teach their children how to get close enough to God that He could Anoint them with the Holy Spirit. Even then most of their teaching was to be done by example. We are supposed to be living the example before our children and our neighbors in a way it will become a way of life.

I base my faith on what God has taught me. I have been through so much and seeing what I have seen makes me know that there is a God and that I have a strong faith in Him. What the Bible says is true and shows me that everyday in the little things. He saw me through cancer and performed so many miracles during that time that I just cannot deny Him.

I was brought up as a Christian, although my parents didn't got to church regularly. However, I must have had a spiritual need from a young age, because from the age of 11 I went to church regularly, on my own. I loved to learn the teachings from the Bible, and they have given me a good basis for the rest of my life.
I don't go to church anymore as I feel that we can worship God and Jesus where-ever we are, and I am wary of what is being preached by mere man - but my faith is based solidly on the Bible and I use it as a guide in my everyday life.
If we all followed the teachings of the Bible this world would be a far better place.

Hi Abbey,
I couldn't have said it better myself. I have gone to several churches over the years but it finally got to a point that I just flatly refused to try to serve God by man's rules. It just doesn't work for me and in fact hurts my personal relationship with God. If I can help it at all I won't allow anything to do that.

According to the bible, faith cometh from hearing and hearing the word of God. So the basis of my faith is in His own word. I believe in God, I believe in his word, and i believe in the bible which is His tool of communicating with me and the rest of the believer.

Good answer. However we need to understand the Bible is only one of many tools God can use to communicate with us. God can use any tool we use to communicate with each other. Very often He uses people that we come into contact with to get information to us. The person God is using may never know what happened but you will as soon as you hear it. God can use many things to get our answers to us when we ask Him questions. We need to pay very close attention to everything we see and hear no matter the source. You stay in there and rely on your Bible and stay aware of other methods God can use to get information to you. There is no problem in God telling us something but we all have a problem hearing Him sometimes. Thanks for a good honest reply

I think all kids believe what their parents teach them and then later challenge it on their own. My parents weren't practicing but they sent me to Catholic School. At first I swallowed it hook line and sinker but then I questioned it. I have returned to the church recently after many years and am better for it. I have a more realistic understanding of God in the world and in my life.
