Do you think high school would be better if it started later?

I've read a couple of articles about how teenagers tend to have a different sleeping schedule than adults, and their natural wake-up time (and sleep time) is later in the day.
So, changing the schedule might help, right?

Yes.i think if school start later,we will have a heathier sleeping schedule and then we will be more active and lively condition in the classroom.It's good for heathy and learning.

I agree with you ,Especially for those students in China.
I am Chinese and have experienced the hardship of high school in China.
Lack of sleep is certainly the main and biggest problem that our students are facing .
However the situation is changing to a better direction .

I think most school systems start high schools so early in the day is because so many of the students have after school jobs. Starting early gives them time to do homework and work at a job. I know many high school girls also babysit younger kids after school before the parents get home. Another reason to start school early in the day is to get teenagers ready for a work life schedule.
