What facebook is about sharing photo or making friends or something else?

Hi to all the mylot member who is also the member of facebook. Actually i am to the member of facebook. I have just signup for the facebook membership as mine one friend requested me.Before signup i ask him what face book is about then he cant reply me.Now i am the member of facebook but dont know what to do in it? Actually what this site is all about just making friend or sharing photo or something else? I know maximum number of member of mylot is the member of facebook. If you all can help me then it will be great.

You can also play games, create applications, look at funny photos and waste time checking out other people's profiles and interests. You can join animal welfare groups and learn about the paranormal. The options are endless really.
Alot of people use it as an alternative for keeping in touch with family and friends and making new friends or contacts with similar interests.
