depressed man flushes 60.000 euros through toilet

Hello,
I just read this news item about a man in france who flushed 60.000 euros through the toilet.
This man, who was labeled as "psycological instable" was living with his mother, and he was a real estate owner. He was depressed, and flushed 60.000 euros through the toilet for unknown reasons. It was found by a person who had to check the sewers, becouse the bank notes blocked up the sewage.
I think this is really wierd, and dont really know what to think. what about you? what do you think about this?

I should have been there then. Atleast I would have prevented it from going down the flush. He could have given it to me instead.
On a serious note, when people get depressed then nothing really matters to them. They tend to do the things which would normally hurt them the most. In this case the person flushed money down the toilet. There was always a possibility that he could have hurt himself or someone else in this state of depression.
