Just say NO! Why are parents afraid of thir kids? My parents never were, they would say no and explain why....its easy. Parents must be the pack leaders, not the 2 year old children.

When my children were younger they were always told not to ask for anything when we went shopping. They learned quite quickly that if they asked for anything they were very unlikely to get it. They knew by the time they were five that they would get treats if they behaved well and if there was enough money left once we'd bought the essentials.
