I found a web site www.Politifact.com that has made a life out of looking at what political candidates have said and then judging if they are true, mostly true, 1/2 true, partially true, false, or "Pants on Fire" false. Ouch... Obama was rated at 0% Pants on fire false, 16% False, 11% Mostly False. McCain had Partially Truth facts 17% of the time, 21% of the time False facts, and 4% Pants on Fire False. In summary Obama was less than 1/2 truthful 27% of the time and McCain was less than 1/2 truthful 41% of the time.
Let us try to be positive and highlight when they tell the TRUTH or Mostly the Truth. Obama has a record of 60.7% fully true or mostly true facts and McCain has been telling the truth or mostly true facts 41% of the time.
These are the people who are going to be leading our country. It is no wonder that people don't trust politicans. Shouldn't they be held to a higher standard?

They are certainly the masters of word play! It never ceases to amaze me how often politicians will be asked a direct question in an interview or during a debate and pretty much cover many aspects bar the question context itself! As the joke goes -How do you know if a Politician is telling a lie? - Their LIPS are moving!

:-) I had heard that one before for the lawyers. :-) I feel the politicans are possibly lower since they are doing it supposedly in the public interest. The attorneys are doing it for money and everyone knows and accepts and hires them to do their their thing.
