highest responses on a discussion

Like I said there was nothing at all special in the discussions that got the highest responses. They were very simple topics that everyone could relate to. In fact, I thought I wouldn't get many responses for those and expected more responses for the more serious topics...and for those I got just a handful of responses. Not many people here want to use their brains or think too much to respond to a discussion. Something simple and relevant to day to day issues might get more responses. Having more friends might also help because they will be the first ones to respond to your discussion and then there is more exposure because your discussion keeps coming up in the recent discussion list. Also make sure you keep commenting to the responses...that keeps the activity of the discussion high and it keeps coming up for others to view too.

I think I come up with different topics from what I have generally been reading here on mylot. That may be one of the reasons I get so many replies. And I have made a lot of friends here too. Some have become so close to me that we have now started chatting online regularly on gmail. I do try to understand my friends here and respond to them accordingly.
