Where Do You Park Your Car? (At Home)

When I had my home built I didn't add a garage, I park my car in the open driveway. Now I wished I had added a garage or carport. When it rains and I have been shopping I have to get my things out in the rain. When I come home and it is raining I get wet trying to open an umbrella and get in the house. My sister has had a carport built on to her house. Unfortunately I am not financially able to do this.
When at home where do you park you car?
Driveway, Garage, Carport or on side the street.

We have an open driveway too and we can park the car very close to our porch so it's only a little running for us to do! LOL!
We are also planning to add a garage since we will be doing an entire remodel next year, wish things will get better that time so it will not be very hard for us!

I park my car on the gravel driveway. Our driveway used to be our front garden but we had the kerb dropped and the grass dug up, gravel laid and my husband and I both park our cars on the driveway.
There is no room to put a garage anywhere

We dont own a car for us.. But my sister has one car since her home was very small the space was not enough to build a garage for her so she has rented a garage and always keeps her car there whenever she wants it she takes it from there, the garage was few kilo meters away from her home initially it was difficult for her to walk and reach there and go for shopping or any occasion and return the car in its place and return home but now she got the garage just in front of her home, she could always have an eye on her car and now she feels secure to be with her car before she used to worry about her so much.. In my place parking car in the midway or on the side of the street isn't possible it causes problem for us like traffic due to that and some people or children who plays in the road will make it dirty by scratching writing something on it with color inks and all.. so its best for them to keep it safe inside their home.. and there is risk for thefts too ..

We have a garage, but it requires precise aim to get the van in. So now, it's mostly a storage room, lol. I'm not sure what the original owners were thinking but it's really narrow. Well, maybe a regular small sedan would fit fine. We have two cars anyway. It's only a one car garage. Anyhow, if it rains, I can back the van up to the garage door and get the groceries in that way. Still, I wish I could get the van in there without much of a problem, especially in the winter. I really hate to scrape the ice of the windows. I'm kind of short. It's hard for me to reach across the front window to get the middle part clean...

We have a 4 car driveway and I have the same problem that you do, and I have this problem almost daily this time of year since we have a lot of late afternoon thunderstorms this time of year in Florida. We do have a garage but that houses the motorcycles my husband builds and the riding mower.

Well, we have a rather large carport that was built before we moved here. Is it possible that a friend or relative might help you to build a carport? It would be alot cheaper built than a garage, of course. Where I live in Texas I have seen people that have somthing like a portable carport that looks to me like it would assemble rather easily. It has poles that fit together and a tarp-like top that is fastened on it. Maybe somthing like that would be a help to you? I don't know, but I would just bet you could find out about it online. Maybe even order it or find out where to go for one. Good Luck!!!

We have a one car garage where I live, but it's so full of junk that we can't get a car into it without doing some cleanup. Therefore, I park in the driveway which isn't so bad in the warmer months. I would, however, like to park in the garage during the cold months so I wouldn't have to scrape frost off the windows.

I rent a half house in a small town with narrow roads. We have to park across the street from our house on the street. recently one of our vehicles was vandalized. we now park in our yard next to the house.

We park our car in our driveway. Luckily enough it is not far from the house so we only have two steps to go down then we are at the front door. So things don't get too wet when it rains.

We stay in a residential park, and the houses were built by the developer; therefore we have the standard porch over the driveway, for just one car. We can still park another car within the compound, but uncovered. Anymore cars than these, we have to park outside the house!
