Which three things do you love about where you live?

I moved three years ago to house on the edge of a coastal town. I love living so close to the coast, the sea is just three miles away. I adore the peaceful locality I live in because I don't have any passing cars. I like the country view I have at the back of my home. I have a footpath, a river and then green fields. Can you think of three things you like about where you live?

I like having four seasons instead of just two and enjoying the produce that is available in each season. I like that there are no electricity blackouts here and that clean water is plentiful too. I also like all the forests and what they bring: berries and mushrooms! The only thing that I don't like so much is the cold weather!

I lived in the Dominican Republic for 12 years and electricity blackouts were the name of the game! Most of the time they were short, but they could also last for many hours at a time. Electricity seldom goes in Austria and only when there is a big storm. Another big problem in the DR was water shortage and that is a nightmare I rather not think about! The funny thing though is that I love the place and its people!

It often seems to be the case that the poorer people are, the friendlier too! If one is used to a certain standard of living though, it can be very difficult to learn to make do with less though! Thank you for responding, you seem to be a friendly person!

Goodness, where did you live before? I can't imagine Austria as a country that has many electricity blackouts! When I read this, I thought that maybe you live somewhere like New Delhi in India! Hmmm... cold weather... a thought that I share; guess we can't have it all!

We just moved here last year from another State. We live on a lake (part of which we own) with a pier, pavilion and overhanging deck. It's so lovely and serene! We live off of a private road and we're surrounded by lake, trees and a farm across the road so it's very private. We own 3 1/2 acres, about half of which is open (not wooded) so I'm able to have the fruit and nut trees, berry bushes and herb and vegetable gardens I've wanted most of my life. So, my three things are beauty, privacy and land.

This is a very good topic and I would like to share with all of you:) I am from Guangzhou and I think the most important here is the diet. We are known for delicious food. We enjoy eating. Secondly it is a city which won't have serious natural disasters. It's safe to live here. Finally, shopping is convenient here. I love China

Hi there maximax8! I live in a city in the mountains. It is considered as the Summer Capital of the Philippines. It's cold up here all year round. I love the weather up here. I also love the scent of pine early in the morning or after a shower. I also love watching the sunrise and the sunset. Imagine watching the sun rise from the mountains and set in the mountains. Really cool!

Hi maximax8! I really love your place. I would wish to live in a house that has a country view which is very near nature. I live in the city and I am living here in our present home for almost 8 years now. I guess I am lucky to be living in a peaceful neighborhood. I love my home because I have a wide space for the garden and we do have a few fruit bearing trees, vegetable plants and flowering plants. Our home is very accessible to the market place, shopping malls and all the convenience of the city. I am quite content with my home but I know I could be happier in a place like yours. Take care always..God Bless!

Lets see... 2 years back we moved from the London Commuter belt to the West Midlands - it is a really beautiful part of the country. We have lived in 3 houses in the last 2 years (we have just moved into the 3rd house recently). Three things I love about where I currently live: 1. In our current house, we live on the outskirts of a small city, far enough out to be out of town, but close enough to be 5 minutes from the centre of town. 2. Our garden is large - I mean really large - about 2 acres I think. The kids can actually get lost in the garden which is great fun for them. 3. The house is set back on the property far enough that although we can see car lights on the road, we don't get the traffic noise very often. I really don't want to ever move away from this area. Compared from my country, its different here in the US.Though we live in urban area but still i found our place peaceful and quiet. Its mind your own business type not like in my country, there are some people that made up things against you to make the people think bad about you.Specially when you were in the downful level of your life status and then suddenly lifes better for you.People would get jealous of your situation.I know there are also some people here that are mean and rude but in our new place things are just fine.I love my hubby's trees also. They shade us during hot times.

One of the things i love about the place where i live is the river, the mall and the park. I love this place a lot because i can see nature and yet experience living in the city as well. If im going to choose a place where i can live forever this would be one of the place i would take into consideration.

Although I'm not really thrilled with living here this is where all my Mom's side of the family is so this is where I am. I do like a few things about it...the decorations they do at Christmas, knowing where everything is and the laid back attitude of the area as opposed to a crowded city. Ideally I'd like to move back to Michigan one day I love the water, the boats, the smells off the water and the peacefulness that seems to be everywhere. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Hello maximax8, The thing I love now in the place I am living is the weather. The weather is cool and pleasant all year round. Just like you I have a mountain view at the back of our house. It also near the place I work and near the city center. If I have a chance to move again I would choose a coastal town. I like the sea and if I can find a place where there is a view of the sea I will gladly move in. It should also be peaceful and a yard where you can plant some fruit trees or vegetable. Regards.

We live on a farm..the closest town is 2km down the road and it only has about 7 houses a general store & a great pub! I love that we have no neighbours, we have such freedom with so much room for the kids, and we can have our 5 dogs, 8 chickens, 2 roosters and our goose without any worries (and more animals if we want, LOL) and I can breed my dogs without worrying about anyone around me.

Have lived where I do since January this year. 1. It is close to work and also Glastonbury, the famous spiritual town in England situated on the earth's heart chakra! Beautiful countryside and coast close by! 2. Live in a lovely, old fashioned, spacious house, which is also quiet since a very noisy lodger moved out during the summer! 3. Share the house with the landlady's lovely dogs!
