Which swimming pools are near you?

My local pool has a children's pool that is warm and an adult's pool that is cool. Often the children's pool is closed to the public because it is giving private swimming lessons. I prefer to go to a pool an half an hour away from my home. It has a lagoon for children with warm water, two jacuzzi like pools and a large pool for adults. I love to go to a swimming pool that is half an hour away from me in the opposite direction. It has a fun swimming pool that is warm and it has a wave machine. When that isn't on people are allowed to swim in the rapid river. What is your local pool like? Are there other pools that you like and are near to you? If so what are they like?

I haven't been in a Public swimming pool in over 10 years...the last few times I got Wet was either bodyboarding in the Atlantic (Maybe 45 minutes from Me here!) or in the pool belonging to the Hotel where I work, which allows me free access, but I rarely use now.I really should try going back!..I do like swimming,it's just I never seem to have the time..I tried a few open air pools while working in Germany years back (Freibad),(Great in Summer!) and I remember one of them was heated and did night swimming sessions! I've visited "Big Surf" in Tempe,Arizona when visiting there one time..that was my first time in a wavepool, and going to one surrounded by Desert felt odd,but was great fun!

I have two swimming pools in the town I live in. There is the local city pool. It has a baby pool and a big pool that is 3 and 4 foot deep the only 8 foot pool they have is for diving only. Then the YMCA has an indoor pool it starts at 0 depth entry so young children the elderly and the handicapped can get in and it goes all the way to 8 foot deep. It is also heated so nice to swim in.

There is a swimming pool in our area which we are not members of as there is a long waiting list to join. We use the Rec center pools instead. I wish our apartmetn complex had its own pool and gym.

I am lucky, there is a gymnasium nearby my home. And there are about 4 pools there. There are two children's pools. One is for little children, and the other is for bigger children. And there is a standard outdoor pool and indoor one. We will have more choices when we go there. Last Saturday night we went to have a swimming together and I stayed in the children's pool with my child most of the time. I love China

the nearest pool is only 3 minutes far from my home on feet.i am not good at swimming.but i like it .even there just for 3 minutes to my home ,but the water of there is too cold,so i go there once in a way. and there are other two pools needs my 15 minutes by bus.but the water of there are warm makes me comfortable.so i come-and-go between these pools.anyway i think swimming is very good for health.

The nearest swimming pool to me is where I go to the gym, the gym is upstairs and we actually look down onto the swimming pool! However it's years since I went into the pool, in actual fact it's the same pool I learnt to swim in when I was 18, that's 19 years ago now! I find swimming very boring and much prefer to exercise on the treadmill, bike or cross trainer then bodybuild afterwards. I keep telling myself I must go swimming but I put it off, too many kids in the pool or I'd rather be on the treadmill. My ticket allows me to swim for FREE so I have no excuse about cost, it's just I can't be bothered and it's indoor too, I prefer outdoor pools but with our weather, you can't hardly find them, so rare sadly in the UK!

I live in Minnesota USA which is nicknamed, The Land Of 10,000 lakes. So we have many beaches within driving range near me. Also qwe have maybe 5 puplic swimming pools nearby. Also a few fitness centers nearby with pools also within driving distance. I seldom use the fitness centers though. I have not been to a beach in a few years either. I have been to a couple WaterParks with the grandsons this year though. I love water parks with the slow inner tube ride and the fast long slides as well. We have a few city run swimming pools that are very well maintained near me. My city has 2 and there are other cities near me that I have to pay more for the use as I am not a city resident. But they keep them well cleaned and working well till today. Sept 1st is usually the last day here for pools and lifegaurds at public beaches. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

There are two swimming pools near my house. One is located at the top of our company building. I like it there since there is a fitness center near the pool. And the other one is located near our house. It's even just walking distance.

I love to swim. My favorite pool is about a mile from my home at my fitness center. I live in Texas where it is often 90+ degrees in the summer, so a nice cool pool is desireable around here. I often feel like I am at a resort when I am at this particular pool. My next favorite one is a neighborhood pool in a friends neighborhood. I like to go there with her family because the kids have so much fun at the kids pool and my friend and I are able to use floats in the pool and just relax. I am not allowed to use a float at my fitness club pool and I think that is a bummer.

Hello maximax. There are two swimming-pools in my hometown, one for small kids and one for bigger kids and adults. I used to visit it in one summer years ago, but I am sorry to say that I don't know how to swim. I have to have something floating to help me stay and float in the water. lol. I love the feeling in the water to enjoy the cool water.

We have a few public pools that are only about 10 minutes away, but I have never been to them, I really do not like to go to public pools very much. I have always had a pool in my own yard, so it is much more private and more convinent. However we do go to a amusement park/waterpark every other weekend, because we have season pass's there. It is a 45 minute drive for us. They too have the wave pool, the childrens pool, lazy river and two otherpools pluse several water slides. It is very nice there. And you can also go to the amusement park as they are right there together. They also have concerts there on Saturday nights.

We don't really have local pools. You have to join the YMCA or the Comfort Inn exercise club or something like that. The school district I'm in has a Monday night swim for adults and some other kind of lessors or classes on Tuesday night. We have local beaches. Not really local pools.

well our local pool is maybe 4 miles from my home. It is part of a council gym complex, so can be used like a fittness centre. Swimming is only part of the activity blessed be

Hi Wow, yours local pools sounds great. Our nearest pool is very plain and simple. It is always warm and often not very full which is great. One Sunday afternoon we were there and there were only about 5 people in the pool, including my son and I. The other pool which we used to go to for lessons is about 30 minutes away and is also warm. It has a lagoon area and a beach entry. It also have a wave machine and a long tunnel slide (not sure what it is called) which I haven't gone on and probably never will. We stopped going to lessons there because the pool is far too shallow and the kids swim 2 strokes and then stand up - they need to be in deeper water so they are forced to swim. Violetdreams
