Coke has acid in it but your stomach also has acid in it so I don't think Coke erodes your stomach lining to any extreme. I've been drinking Coke for years...sometimes mixed with Jack Daniels which I'm SURE isn't so good for your stomach lining either.

No, that would be tequila that does that...and it also makes you believe that you're Superman!

I used to drink gallons of the stuff! I just love coke and I cannot get away from that. I'm not sure though that it does damage to your stomach lining. I sure don't feel anything in that region! On a really hot day coke is just the perfect remedy for quenching your thirst! I used to go for the kingsize bottles and then I resorted to the small cans. I don't like pepsi much, I think that coke definitely does it for me. Anway, now that summer is slowly disappearing I won't be drinking so much. Keep drinking coke!!Andrew

Yup, we've been hearing a lot about this - it wears away our teeth, making it weak; or increases our sugar level, and now eats away our stomach lining!
But I'm not going to stop drinking Coke (or Pepsi) - it's one of my favourite thirst-quenchers !

i drink a lot of coke but i guess its not true that it eats aways our stomach lining. For sure you'll get acidic or an ulcer if you drink a lot with an empty stomach.
