Computer virus!!!

We have just come home from seeing a friend and they were telling us about a virus their laptop picked up which has originated from America. Its new out and horrible, people get hold of your passwords and info and hack into things like your bank accounts. It was so bad she thought her laptop would have to go, it wouldn't even shut down when she tried. Luckily she cancelled all her accounts and although people had tried to hack in they hadn't got anywhere, her laptop has been saved by a professional luckily and is safe again but my warning to you . . BE CAREFUL AND ALERT!!!

mychattime - hi. A guy from a dating website hacked into my laptop and from there, into my desk top. I had the laptop stripped and reloaded windows. I started getting that icky, someone is still looking over my shoulder feeling, so I had windows removed. It still spooks me, so I don't talk about it too much. Watch your URLs's to ensure you're going to the place you want to go. Also, watch out for add ons to the URL's. as in login/login It cost me over $300 dollars in the end. But I did get a refund from the dating website. All I can think to do is change passwords often, and never store them on your computer.

How terrible for you, I had someone take money from my account and my joint account with my hubby not so long ago that was done over the internet with my hubbys card and he never uses the computer! It is frightening, and I'm not surprised you are still spooked I don't trust anyone anymore, especially after the last problem with the money being taken, they actually booked a holiday to Eurodisney paris with my hubbys bank card . . blumin cheek!!! Chin up, lets hope it doesn't happen again! Take care
