Homepages Friends was Attacked?

About a couple of hours ago, Homepages Friends site went down. I can't login to my homepage anymore and I can't use their search bar. Firefox tells that the server at search.myhpf.co.uk is taking too long to respond. Damn, is this serious?
I received an email from the Admin just this morning : Homepages Friends Disruption of Service. They said
[i]Normal service has been disrupted due to a denial of service attack.
We apologise for the inconvienience and we are striving hard to bring normal service back as soon as possible.[/i]
At least they gave an update of what happened. Did everyone received the same?
I hope this site is not turning into a scam...

hi there! yes, i got same email. at least they do informed us.,unlike other site. i hope everything will turn out good and service will be back sooner.,i'm 2dollars short to payout., and right now i am really striving hard to reach it.,best of luck! have a wonderful day!

indeed! homepages friends informs their users specially when something wrong happens. this a good because it builds trust with their users and stops those who might freak out. LOL
i think the site was flooded with several thousands of search requests coming from some person/server. that's why homepages friends' resources ran out and then denial of service happens (just search denial of service in wikipedia to know more)
me too! i'm near payout level... just a little more over a pound.
i hope they will be back soon.

I too hope so. I have yet to receive my first payout. I just cant understand how they calculate searches. Sometimes i get to reach 40 searches and when i check my earning details, im only credited with 5 searches. I really dont get this. Apart from that, they dont update earnings as fast as they did before. I hope that this site isnt a scam because i've already put effort into it.
