I dont do Tarawih not because its not obligatory, but because Im reading Quran when its time for Tarawih. So I finish 1 Quran this ramadan anyways.....maybe not as much good as tarawih, but its still worth it.

Hello Lemmeatem,
You just read Quran at tarawih time and omit tarawih? you are missing great rewards.
So Just do the tarawih prayers, 11 or 23 or any number of Rak'ats end with an odd number either from your home or from mosque. Finishing whole reading of Quran in Ramadan is good thing but tarawih prayers are much important than that.
Thanks.

taiko,
It won't be Tarawih or Tahajjud, It is another prayer called Dhuha, from morning before midday. It is not much encouraged though.

Saviour-V teleports in...
Assalamualaikum wr. wb., comrade siZidni.
Don't feel too bad about missing it. Sure, it's worth a few extra good deeds in the records, but it's not obligatory. More importantly, concentrate on doing good things for others during Ramadhan. That will mean a whole lot more than any Terawih prayers you do.
Besides, even the Prophet (p.b.u.h) only came out for Terawih prayers twice, then on the third night, he wasn't there, which eventually, as he explained, meant that Terawih prayers were non-obligatory. Worth bonus points, sure, but remember, you enter Heaven on Allah's mercy. NOT on the amount of good deeds you do.
There's a good story on that, but I've got work to do right now. I'll put it up here later. Might be worth a lesson to us all.
Wassalam.

Yea, Prophet did the Night parayers (Tarawih) only three or four days from Mosque. But it is reported that he used to do night prayers from his home not just in Ramadan but everyday of his life.

Yes,I go for this prayer, which is only in the holy month of Ramadan. The Imam leads this prayer and recites the holy Quran by heart.in fact this is a great miracle of Islam that you will find thousands of Muslims who have memorized this holy book by heart. It is a big book having about one thousand pages. We donot find such example for any other holy Book.I complete eight "Rakats" of Tarawih and one or three "Rakats" of "Wittar" at the end......May God Almighty accept our prayers/fastings in this holy month and forgive our sins,amen.............
