I was just wondering what other people thought about having an all day kindergarten. Is it too much for a child that young? What are some positive and negative points?

Hi I used to work as a class teacher in an all day kindergarten many years ago. At that time the program was not so heavy on the children. We have lessons in the morning, then lunch and bath time then nap time, tea time , another hour of lesson and then its time for home. But now, the kindy which I used to teach still have the same program in the morning as in lessons then lunch then bath time. but the nap time is replaced with lesson time then tea time and continue with lesson the pack for home. So there's no nap time its lessons throughout the day. In my opinion this is too much. I wouldn't agree this for my child. I have also heard that after the children return from this kindy, they still have extra tuition at night, over the weekends, they have art class or ballet or music classes. I think this is crazy. Cramming so much on the kids.
