Do you think mylot should have a user of the week or month?

I was just thinking about this the other day and think it would be a good ideal. It would be good if a active quality member each week got something extra or every month. I say this because the way things are now quality posters and people who post just to post should be separated. Something like that would motivate more people to post quality stuff. Of course they should do it on there own but most won't unless there's a difference in the reward. This is not a attack on mylot in anyway just a suggestion and wondering what people think about it. Who knows maybe they might listen to this and do it like they listened to the members about the site and changed it.

Don't they already have this bro? what they should have is a baller of the week and shows what he bought with his money like cars,houses,plasma tv,Rolex watches,bling-bling,36 karat gold grills. hahaha!!.. anyways if they had a user of the month i'd pick you :P

Yea but there is no reward for that and it changes everyday mainly deals with top posters and whatnot not really quality posters.

I know it wouldn't make a difference to allot of people but if they offered like $50 extra i bet you would try to get it. It wouldn't be a force issue but more of a reward issue for members to have something to really try for. I see you have over a 3,000 rating in a month so i would imagine you wouldn't partake in this.

Yes, but not only would that not address the problem of the high volume of poor quality posts, the problem would be exacerbated by greedy, unscrupulous people posting digital waste just to try to boost their monetary gains.

Even with the guidelines in place most people still don't follow them. The top users is in reference to post that make them a top user. What i am saying is member of the month with a reward for being that. The top user gets no reward only spotlight to there name and allot of people seeing it and maybe getting them a few more post.

I think you're onto something here. Rather than using posting activity/volume as a measure of top users, perhaps the rating system should be used instead to identify the top users. Members who get the most "best responses" and/or positive (+) ratings should be named the top users. I'm sure the myLot mathematitians can easily come up with a good formula to figure this out as well as come up with a way to better reward the members who post quality content.

I think it is a good idea. Maybe one day they will do something like that.
As the site continues to grow, I bet months down the road they will have even more changes to this site.Even if they don't I will still have fun posting on here.

I agree 100%. I think maybe the member of the week or month should get like...10 pts. added onto their points.
